This special limited-edition bottling was created in honor of Suntory Whisky's centenary. Part of the Yamazaki family, Japan’s quintessential whisky, it is made in Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery which was founded in 1923. Yamazaki means “mountain cape”, referencing its unique geographic location – secluded amongst a range of forest covered mountains. The traditional Greek ouzo, with the great and most distinctive history! Everything started in 1880 in Constantinople. There, at the Kalogiannis distillery, the connoisseurs always requested ouzo from a specific barrel. An aromatic ouzo with a rich flavor. The story continues in Thessaloniki, where the Kalogiannis family moved in 1925. The unique flavor of their ouzo enchanted the whole city. In 1950, this unique distillate made its way to Piraeus. There, it was bottled for the first time, introducing the carafe which became the most common ouzo bottle. But its journey didn’t end there. Its fame achieved great success beyond borders and managed to accompany flavors and moments all over the world. A unique distillate that urges us to spend time with our family and friends. That allows us to preserve the essence of our everyday life. Since its inception in Constantinople in 1880, Ouzo 12 has maintained the same flavor that has ranked it as the world’s number one ouzo*, remaining true to its original recipe. And this is yet another reason to raise our glasses and say, “Let’s drink to that!”.

Double Wheat combines two of Old Elk’s most beloved and awarded wheater whiskeys: Old Elk Straight Wheat Whiskey and Old Elk Wheated Bourbon Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Thus creating an entirely unique pour. This is a merger for the more, yielding a higher proof (107.1) and a brighter profile whiskey in which a whole new category begs to be crafted.

PALATE: An initial citrus tang is followed by sweet ripe fruit and gentle peat smoke. A subtle marine character comes through, with this sandy minerality complemented with toasted oak. Crafted with expertise and passion, this exquisite reposado mezcal embodies the essence of the agave plant, carefully nurtured and distilled to perfection. La Leyenda, which translates to "The Legend" in English, lives up to its name by delivering a memorable and authentic mescal experience that captivates the senses.

The journey of La Leyenda Mazcal Reposado begins with the meticulous selection of mature agave plants, which are hand-harvested by skilled jimadors who have honed their craft over generations. These prized agaves, harvested at the peak of ripeness, are then roasted in traditional underground ovens for several days. This cooking process imbues the mescal with distinctive smoky aromas, evoking the essence of the rugged Mexican landscape.

Following roasting, the agaves are crushed using a stone tahona, an ancient method that pays homage to the past. The resulting mash is then fermented in wooden vats using natural airborne yeasts, a process that allows the flavors of the agave to develop naturally and retain their authenticity.

After fermentation, the mescal undergoes a double distillation process in copper alembic stills. This careful distillation ensures that only the most refined and purest expressions of the agave's character make it into the final product.
