Hennessy Black Cognac is the highly versatile, decidedly different new cognac from the world’s leading cognac house. Distinctively smooth with a fresher, lighter flavor, it is a blend of 35 to 45 unique pale and gold colored eaux-de-vie selected for their elegant floral characteristics. They are then aged in French Limousin oak casks which have been previously used at Hennessy for a more “gentle” maturation, and an elegant wood influence. Hennessy Black offers an exciting alternative to vodka and tequila, and can be enjoyed on its own or mixed.

NOSE: Bold jasmine notes combined with citrus and honey notes.

PALATE: Fresh cognac grapes with a touch of citrus.

Highlights include a balance between hints of cooked agave and fruit, and added vainilla and caramel bring out the intensity of the oak. With a lingering taste, an intense aroma, and a well-rounded and full body.

Ideal for drinking by itself, as an aperitif or digestif. It is recommended paired with dishes with complex, intense flavors. It also mixes well with juices, sparkling water, and soft drinks so that its intense characteristics stand out. It can also pair well with coffee lungo or espresso.

TASTING NOTES

This product is reminiscent of the old-fashioned way of making tequila, with intense aromas and flavors, highlights of cooked agave, hints of citrus like grapefruit, and fruity notes like apple and cantaloupe. Spicy notes include clove and anise.

Adnams Single Malt Whisky is made from a mash bill of 100% East Anglian malted barley using our dedicated copper whisky still. We mature the majority of this spirit in new French Oak, but we do add spirit that’s spent time in bourbon barrels, for some extra complexity. This smooth, rich whisky has bold flavours of runny honey, vanilla and apricots. There’s a moreish, caramel finish with lush, lingering fruit.

TASTING NOTES

On the nose, you will find apricot, cherry fruit, berry notes, red rope liquorice, vanilla and runny honey. The palate offers flavours of blueberries, candied fruit, cookie dough, chocolate and pepper. combine with lush spices and a delicate mineral edge to tantalise the nose. The Japanese dragon is a powerful being that controls water and rains. They are believed to bring luck and symbolize power, strength, and authority, and are much more human and demonstrate human emotions and experiences. Ryūjin, the deity of the sea in Japanese myths, is one of the most important of all Japanese dragons. He represents the power of the ocean and was a patron of Japan. Considering that the sea and seafood are important for Japanese livelihood, Ryūjin plays a significant role in Japanese culture and history, and is believed to be one of the forefathers of the Japanese imperial dynasty. Recognizing the most significant dragon in Japanese culture gave rise to the bold and vibrant flavors of the Ryūjin whiskey.

TASTING NOTES: Fruity and floral notes throughout the taste, with honey, orange peel, and white chocolate flavors. Mellow finish with a hint of oak.
