Three families of blends

Orchard House combines exclusively single malt whiskies, making it a blended malt Scotch whisky, whilst Hedonism draws only on mature single grain whiskies and is that seldom-seen creature, a blended grain Scotch whisky. Then Glasgow Blend completes the picture by bringing together both single grain and single malt whiskies in one bottle as a blended Scotch whisky.

Our mezcal begins with a slow 90-minute drive outside of Puebla, Mexico. The dramatic terrain, rugged high-elevation mesas, and cyclical weather patterns are the perfect recipe for thriving agaves. Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, which must be distilled by a single distiller during a single distillation season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof.  Barrels are hand-selected for their characteristics of deeper color, flavor, and aroma, which deliver a darker, richer, and more oak-forward character. It’s a big, bold Tennessee Whiskey at 100 proof with layered notes of caramel, rich oak, and spice giving way to a pleasantly lingering finish.

Maker Notes

Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke features the same high-rye mash bill that Basil Hayden loyalists know and love, but uses secondary aging to deliver a unique, layered flavor with a refined hint of smokiness.

We begin by toasting and lightly charring the secondary barrel. This is followed by delicately igniting hickory-smoked chips at a constant feed to produce smoke, which is then pumped into the barrel, resulting in notes of soft char and light butterscotch. This unique flavor provides a smoother, more subtle take on smoky spirits, and creates the perfectly sophisticated, yet approachable introduction to both bourbon and Basil Hayden.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR: Deep, rich amber with copper undertones

AROMA: A mellow smoke character with a hint of sweet vanilla

FLAVOR: Soft char with a light sweetness reminiscent of butterscotch and maple

To perpetuate the legacy of the original Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège, Hennessy Master Blenders have constantly sought to create a completely harmonious blend: it is the definitive expression of a perfectly balanced cognac. Based on a selection of firmly structured eaux-de-vie, aged largely in partially used barrels in order to take on subtle levels of oak tannins, this highly characterful cognac reveals balanced aromas of fresh vanilla, cinnamon and toasty notes, all coming together with a seamless perfection.

VSOP from Maison GAUTIER is an outstanding blend from Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Bons Bois “crus” (Cognac growing areas), with an authentic character.

Paolo Sperone created Caravella Limoncello, a bright, refreshing Italian spirit, from the family recipe that dates back to 1898. It is the world's original Limoncello made with sweet, fresh juice and the tart, earthy peels of lemons from the Amalfi coast. The Sperone brothers also created our Caravella Orangecello. Orangecello is made from the peels of Sicilian oranges soaked in pure grain alcohol with sugar and orange juice.

These crisp, tangy and refreshing Caravella liqueurs are traditionally served ice cold and sipped neat. They will add a sweet, festive flavor to any summer cocktail.

Each spring and fall, a new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released. Inspired by an original 1950's Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation. The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY. Today, in addition to our Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series, the legacy of Old Fitzgerald lives on in our other wheated Bourbons expressions: Larceny Small Batch and Larceny Barrel Proof.

Heaven Hill Distillery announced today the release of Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the first edition of the new Heaven Hill Heritage Collection celebrating the distillery’s exacting maturation standards. Each spring, this annual, highly limited release will feature some of the distillery’s oldest inventory of aging whiskey.

The Collection will feature one of the six traditional American Whiskey mashbills produced by Heaven Hill. The first edition features Heaven Hill’s Bourbon mashbill comprised of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, and bottled at a barrel proof of 118.2. With an age statement of 17 years, this release is made up of 28% 20-year-old barrels, 44% 19-year-old barrels, and 28% 17-year-old barrels pulled from Deatsville, Glencoe, Schenley, and Heaven Hill main campus warehouse locations. Each spring, the release will vary as older barrels are deemed worthy of bottling.

The Peacekeeper American Bourbon Whiskey is bottled at 40% Alc/Vol. Bourbon is a type of American whiskey, a barrel-aged distilled liquor made from at least 51% corn.
