In 1263, Colin of Kintail, Chief of the Clan Mackenzie, took a bold decision to stand up and be counted, and felled a charging stag which attacked King Alexander III of Scotland. In return for saving his life, the grateful King gifted the 12-pointed Royal Stag emblem to the Mackenzie Clan as a reward. When descendants of the Mackenzie Clan took over the ownership of The Dalmore distillery in 1867, they continued to honour this brave act and proudly put the 12-pointed Royal Stag on the bottle. To this day, the Stag still adorns each and every bottle of The Dalmore.

To celebrate the pioneering and innovative values of the Mackenzie Clan, our Master Distiller has painstakingly created the only single malt in the world to unite a unique six cask finish for one outstanding achievement. Spirits matured in ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry butts, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques are combined in perfect harmony to create a uniquely complex, yet smooth single malt. This is the embodiment of brave creativity and a lifetime's experience.

An evolution of The Dalmore house style, this 18 year old expression takes on bolder notes becoming a robust and formidable whisky. The Dalmore 18 showcases the result of extended maturation. Matured initially for 14 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the spirit is then transferred to 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry butts for a further four years. These sherry butts from the world renowned sherry house Gonzalez Byass are selected exclusively for The Dalmore.

This specially crafted whisky has been expertly made to be the perfect accompaniment to a fine cigar. Matured initially in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry butts, it is then finessed in Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques.

At a time when it was standard to mature whisky for six years, Andrew Mackenzie demonstrated his pioneering character by being one of the first to double the maturation period. His boldness truly paid off, The Dalmore 12 year stands apart as an exceptional whisky, as much today as it did in the 19th century.

Matured for an initial nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the spirit is then divided for its final flourish. One half remains in the bourbon barrels, while the other is transferred to 30-year-old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts before they are reunited to create this phenomenal whisky.

The Dalmore and V&A Dundee have worked in collaboration since 2020, showcasing excellence in design and craftsmanship on a global stage.

The Dalmore Luminary No. 2 2024 Edition represents a scarce offering of single malt Scotch whisky, matured for 16 years in the Highlands. As a distinguished member of the Dalmore Luminary Series, it constitutes one segment of a trilogy of exclusive single malts crafted through collaboration between esteemed figures in the realms of whisky and architectural design, in conjunction with V&A Dundee, Scotland's renowned design museum. This particular 2024 edition holds particular appeal to collectors, particularly those with a penchant for Scotch whiskies boasting a profound heritage.

The Dalmore 25 Year Old is an exceptional and unique whisky.

The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then carefully apportioned between casks which have held 30-Year Old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry and Tawny Port Pipes. It is then brought back together to harmonise in a first fill ex-Bourbon cask, creating something truly exceptional.

The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is an indulgent, smooth single malt that displays a multitude of exotic flavours. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then apportioned between American white oak casks and aged Tawny Port pipes from W & J Graham’s vineyard in Portugal. The two parts are then brought back together to harmonise the flavours before bottling.

A trio of discerning individuals are known for being selective when it comes to their social circles. However, they made an exception for the remarkable twelve-pronged Dalmore stag, readily accepting it into their exclusive group. The stag brought along a highly impressive 14-year-old expression to a celebratory gathering, which was met with great enthusiasm. In fact, the Deer, Bear, and Moose, who are also part of another prestigious community, decided it was worth sharing this exceptional whisky with their like-minded peers.

This particular limited-edition Highland Malt possesses a captivating backstory that adds to its richness and allure. Legend has it that a powerful stag once posed a threat to a Scottish King but was ultimately taken down by an ancestor of Clan Mackenzie, the distillery's former owners, with a single arrow. While the archer's name has faded from memory, the Stag's remarkable legacy lives on, impressing all who encounter it.

With a history as intriguing as its taste, this whisky was distilled in 2004 and matured for 14 years in exquisite sherry butt casks before being bottled. Among these casks, Cask No. 6529 stands out for its exceptionally sweet flavor. The Deer in our trio is particularly captivated by the Stag, and we share in that admiration.

Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass led the development of the latest release from The Dalmore, the first expression to be finished in hand-selected, rare Pedro Ximénez casks from the House of Gonzalez Byass. The sun-drenched, intense sweetness of the Pedro Ximénez sherry wine adds delicious new layers of flavour and perfectly complements The Dalmore’s house style and rich notes of citrus, liquorice and caramel. With notes of figs, Medjool dates and maple syrup, The Dalmore 14 Year is ideal to cherish and enjoy with others.

This is the perfect start to our maturation journey as it develops our house style of chocolate, orange and spice. This Dalmore is then fully finished in casks having held a very unique sherry, created especially for The Dalmore – a blend of classic & aged oloroso and rich & sweet Pedro Ximenez, formulated to provide the perfect enhancement to our house style. The result is a stunning and elegant Dalmore single malt, bursting with sweet fruit and decadent spice.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Caramelised orange, ginger, and sultanas, all laced with honey

PALATE: Dark chocolate and crushed almonds. with a dusting of cinnamon

The Dalmore 30 Year Whisky is a prestigious and limited edition, representing the apex of craftsmanship in the world of Scotch whisky. The Dalmore 15 year old is smooth, rich and well rounded; the epitome of The Dalmore house style. This delicate and approachable vintage is initially matured for 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then split equally between three different sherry woods Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso for a further three years. The character and complexity of The Dalmore 15 are acquired during this unique cask journey. The spirit is finally reunited in an upstanding sherry butt, allowing the flavours to marry.

This 40 year old Highland single malt began its life at The Dalmore distillery in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts. After seven years in these rare casks, the liquid was given its final flourish in first-fill American white oak bourbon casks prior to bottling in 2017.Rich Colombian coffee mingles with sweet sultanas, dates and marmalade on the nose. The palate reveals gingerbread, molasses, maple syrup and brioche dipped in Manuka honey. The finish has delicious blood orange, over ripe Bramley apples, liquorice and notes of desiccated coconut.
