Dom Ruinart Rosé 2007 is composed of 80% Grand Cru chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger), the Montagne de Reims (Sillery and Verzenay), and 20% Aÿ Grand Cru pinot noirs.
2007, AN EXTRAORDINARY YEAR
In 2007, the harvest in Champagne began in August, a rare occurrence. After a sunny and very hot spring, the coolness of the summer months did not reduce the advance taken by the vines, and the berries quickly reached maturity. The harvest began in late August and extended over the first three weeks of September.
