Born from a marriage of traditional tequila making and modern technology, Partida Familia Tequila is made from blue agave nectar sourced near El Cerro, a dormant volcano, in Santiago de Tequila, Mexico. From afar, the rolling hills of agave fields could be mistaken for vineyards in the south of France or Sonoma Valley. Up close, however, you can see the rich red soil, which creates the perfect terrain for maturing the agave plant. With years of experience, jimadors determine exactly when each agave is ready for harvest. Jose Valdez, Tequila Partida's master distiller, holds a Tequila Expert degree from Cultura y Capacitacin del Tequila A.C. (Tequila Culture and Training Association), and is also a certified Tequila Technician from the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (Tequila Regulatory Council). He carefully monitors the entire production process, including the quality of the blue agave. The pias are perfectly ripened with mature, robust sugars, the blue agave is harvested by hand and slowly baked in state-of-the-art autoclaves to preserve freshness and flavor. After the agave has been baked and shredded, Valdez lets the agave juices ferment for nearly two days before twice distilling the tequila. The Roble Fino ("fine oak") series was conceived upon Valdez's visit to Scotland, where he envisioned a partnership between tequila and Scotch single malts. He crafted 3 unique expressions: the Reposado, Reposado Cristalino, and Aejo, which build on the super-solid foundation of their award-winning regular Reposado and Aejo tequilas. These are then finished in Edrington's sherry-seasoned single malt oak casks. The Roble Fino Reposado takes the 6-month-old liquid that is aged in ex-bourbon barrels, then adds another two months of finishing in sherry-seasoned single malt oak casks on top of that, before being bottled at 86 proof.

Catrina History

La Catrina was a zinc etching originally created in 1910 by Mexican printmaker Jose Guadalupe Posada. He was known for his images of political and social satire. She became a symbolic figure during the time of the Mexican Revolution. 

​La Catrina is often associated with Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a pre-Colombian Meso-American observace of death and life that is celebrated on November 2nd in all of Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula and parts of Central America.

​La Catrina in her elegance broad-brimmed hat first appeared in a satirical engraving that mocked those who pretended to be of a higher class, even if that meant starving, and going painfully thin, or without flesh. 

​To this day, La Catrina continues to be a symbolic figure. She has become part of the imagery for Dia de los muertos but also she can be found in books, cartoons, posters, figurines and artwork spanning over 100 years.

This artwork was created around 1910-1913 by José Guadalupe Posada in an etching called “La Calavera Catrina,” originally known as “La Calavera Garbancera.” She was created as a satirical image. Now we adapt Mexico's great folflore into a one of a kind Tequila Package, Dona Celia Tequila. Made out of ceramic and hand painted designs, this doll not only has a beautiful design but has a high quality 100% Agave Tequila to compliment inside.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Refreshing fruity nose exhibiting tropical and apple notes with a healthy dose of salt and citrus, similar to that of fresh agave.

TASTE: The palate is semi-viscous and peppery with ripe fruit tones giving way to crisp citrus notes and a hint of vanilla.

FINISH: Wonderfully balanced finish with long lasting citrusy, peppery, and herbaceous notes.

Cava de Oro tequila is made from 100% agave in the Jalisco region of Mexico. The Anejo has a pleasant, smooth mouthfeel with notes of honey, black pepper, and oak on the nose. A lovely long finish reveals the advantages of aging the spirit, allowing the herbaceous agave flavor to give way to juicy red fruits and cinnamon. 24 months of rest in French white oak barrels give our Añejo the perfect touch between its silky texture and long, slightly sweet finish.

TASTING NOTES

Aged for a minimum of six months in former bourbon barrels, revealing elegant florals, with sweet, lightly toasted vanilla. Deep toned in both appearance and taste, boasting rich, fragrant aromas. Its smoothness will charm connoisseurs and tequila newcomers alike.

Aged for a minimum of 28 months in former bourbon barrels and blended from two- to three-year-old reserves. Incredibly aromatic, with a spice and caramel nose accompanied by hints of vanilla and candied florals. Ideally prepared neat, on the rocks, or in one of our signature cocktails.

Tequila connoisseurs fall madly in love with this light golden beauty. Like all of our fine tequilas, it benefits from our special agave cooking process, in 8 different ovens. We barrel-age it well over a year in Tennessee barrels, for soft-as-velvet sipping. No lime. No salt. No inhibitions. ABV: 40.0%

FINISH: Long and creamy finish with lingering smoky and spicy notes.

AROMA: Fresh aromas of thyme, green grass, and agave nectar mingle to create a vibrant nose on this reposado.

TASTE: Earthy tones play an integral role on the palate with support from soft vanilla, marcona almond, and fresh herb flavors. Round on the palate and refined.
