Aged just over a year in American oak barrels, our Añejo has a significant oak presence in balance with the agave fruit, deeper notes of vanilla, nuts, and caramel. Unlike most other añejos which are dominated by oak, our Añejo has a complex balance of oak and agave fruit. 

Crafted with 100% Blue Weber Agave handpicked at optimal maturity in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Aged 100% in re-charred Bourbon barrels, the explosion on your mouth’s sensory is matchless. Pure Rhum Agricole delicately aged in re-charred Bourbon barrels and allowed to naturally reduce and bottled at “cask strength” creating a boldly flavored single vintage aged rhum with tremendous body, redolent of crushed walnuts and pecans, pecan pie and brown sugar.

The flavors are more sophisticated, with notes of saddle leather, old wood and tobacco joining the subtle sweetness.

Broken Barrel Isle of Peat explores the concept of reclaiming flavor from oak while also reclaiming oak from the Scots. American whiskey is heavily dominated by Bourbon - a whiskey governed by a rule that a new oak barrel can only be used once. Scotch whisky however follows no such rule, and Americans export millions of ex-bourbon barrels to Scotland where they become Scotch barrels. 

Isle of Peat introduces a curated combination of  American wheat whiskey and American single-malt whiskey, blended together and matured with the charred oak staves from these very Scotch barrels. 

Specifically, Islay Scotch barrels - best known for their unrelenting smoky character and intensity. The reclaimed oak staves are broken down from their barrel form, carefully selected, and submerged into the whiskey we've blended for a minimum of 30 days. Stored in a warm dry environment, these Islay staves impart their smoky finish into every last drop of this incredible whiskey. Oublié’s blend is always Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre – our California version of a Châteauneuf du Pape. The namesake is a play on the French term for “forgotten”.  Rhône varietals grow beautifully on our estate and we believe that they are far-too-often forgotten when you think of a California wine.

Continuing to honor the wines of Châteauneuf du Pape, the Oublié 2017 does not disappoint. It shows off a deep youthful ruby color beneath a purple rim. SCREAMING TITAN
A quick hike from The Lost Monarch within the Grove of Titans you will find this multi-stem coastal redwood rising over 323-feet from the ancient forest floor. Forestry professor Stephen C. Sillett named it after the story of naturalist Michael W. Taylor, who screamed when he first spotted the grove in the late 1990s.

Ole Smoky has been making moonshine in the Smoky Mountains ever since our great, great mawmaws and pawpaws stepped foot in them over a hundred years ago—but it wasn’t until Tennessee state law changed that we were able to legally open up our first federally licensed distillery in Gatlinburg. That’s right, the moonshine business hasn’t always been on the right side of the law, but since it led us to where we are now, crafting some of the best moonshines and whiskies you’re ever gonna taste, you could say it was totally worth it. (And you’d be right.)

Today, we still make that kick-in-the-mouth moonshine folks have loved for over a century, but we’ve also continued to innovate with flavors like Lemon Drop, Peach and Apple Pie that have made us famous; because having a heritage you’re proud of is great and all, but being really great today is even better.
