LIMITED EDITION CASTAWAY SERIES BARREL AGED RUM

Our limited edition anniversary rum is distilled from cane sugar and molasses and masterfully blended using woods from around the world including Mongolian, French, and Brazilian. The time spent in these cask leads to additional depth of flavor and character.

Subtle hints of vanilla, oak, and caramel which are extracted over time from the wood of the traditional American Oak Barrel. The additional woods yield unique tasting notes like toasted sugar, allspice, nutmeg, and sweet tobacco. This magical combination produces a lighter, more refined spirit.

100% de Agave Reposado has been aged for just less than a year in new  white oak barrels. The oak barrels give Reposado a mellowed taste,  pleasing bouquet, and its pale color. Reposado keeps the blue agave  taste and is gentler to the palate. It has a distinct taste that  acquires a sophisticated nuance without losing its great heritage. The  Reposado barrels, called pipon, are usually made of white oak and  accommodate Tequila batches of up to 10,000 liters.

Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. traces their roots back to the 1880's, to the heart of Henderson Kentucky. Peerless Whiskey was founded by a businessman with a bold personality Henry Kraver, who revived the brand from the brink of ruin in the late 1880s. Under Kraver's guidance, rose from the ashes, increasing production 25-fold. But the growth of the brand was subsequently stunted by the very unforgiving era of Prohibition. Now, a century later, Peerless Whisky is in the hands of Kraver's great-grandson Corky Taylor and great-great-grandson Carson Taylor. Keeping Kraver's legacy alive, the duo has resurrected the brand, even distilling under the original Distilled Spirits Plant number, DSP-KY-50 in a centuries-old warehouse in downtown Louisville, near the Ohio River. Peerless Whiskey is distilled using a process that values quality over cost. They use a sweet mash, which is costlier than the more commonly used sour mash. The spirit also enters the barrel at a lower 107 proof, which results in the use of 17% more barrels. Water is added before the maturation process as opposed to after, transforming it from a dilutant to an ingredient. The straight rye is non-chill filtered and bottled at barrel strength, revealing a robust, authentic, unadulterated whiskey that was ranked No.15 by Whisky Advocate, on their list of Top 20 Whiskies of 2017. Peerless Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is an incredibly well-balanced whiskey with smooth, sweet notes of brown sugar, oak, and citrus. Tequila Ocho Reposado Barrel Select Widow Jane 2022 undergoes a meticulous production process that starts with hand-harvested blue Weber agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands. The agave is carefully cooked and crushed to extract its flavorful juices, which are then fermented and distilled to create a high-quality tequila.

Following distillation, the tequila is aged in carefully selected oak barrels. This particular expression benefits from the expertise of Widow Jane, known for their unique aging techniques and selection of exceptional barrels. The aging process allows the tequila to develop its characteristic flavor profile and acquire the desirable attributes associated with a reposado tequila.

Introducing the 2022 release of The Bootleg Series by Heaven’s Door.  Featuring rare and unreleased whiskeys, each annual release features one of Dylan’s paintings on a hand-made ceramic bottle in a bespoke leather case.

The fourth annual Bootleg release, The Bootleg Series Vol. IV featured a wheated bourbon aged for 11 years, finished in Islay Scotch Casks, and then bottled at cask strength with a proof of 111.0.

DESCRIPTION

With a 50% ABV, this is the ‘export strength’ expression of our multi-award-winning, strikingly smooth London Dry gin. A giant of a gin!

Exquisitely Engineered for a more complex flavour profile, we’ve added extra juniper and introduced six new botanicals – green cardamom, nutmeg, cumin, cassia bark, cubeb pepper and lemon – for a bolder, richer flavour; an earthy sweetness combines with citrus freshness for a dry spicy finish.

TASTING NOTES

Our Brunel is aromatic, full bodied, complex, undoubtedly spicy yet splendidly smooth. Warming notes of cardamom and cumin are complemented by juniper, sweet citrus and a dry and fragrant finish.

With Tonic:
Serve with plenty of ice, premium tonic and an orange wheel. Can also be served with ice, premium ginger ale and lemongrass.

Unlike a typical 100% malt whiskey, Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey crafted from 51% malt and aged in new charred oak barrels, making it the malt whiskey for bourbon drinkers.

The base of 51 % malt results in a whiskey that is richly flavorful and complex and amplifies the nutty characteristics found in the original Woodford Reserve.

TASTING NOTES

APPEARANCE: Warm Umber.

NOSE: Soft nutty notes drizzled with light caramel and milk chocolate coat a layer of fruit character (apple, dried fruit, tropical fruit). Hints of brown spice, savory mint and brown sugar mingle with a rich note of freshly milled toasted oak.

TASTE: Dark chocolate and caramel coated nuts are dried out with a dusting of cocoa powder and brown spice. A fruit medley brightens a trace of toasted coconut and rich, bright oak character.

FINISH: Nutty and subtly sweet chocolate malt notes.
