Bottled at 57.2% abv, 100% proof. This higher alcohol content allows our distillers to add more botanicals. With almost double the juniper and citrus than anything else in the Edinburgh Gin range, this allows for a smoother mouth feel which counteracts the heat from the spirit. This is complimented by Szechuan peppercorns which give a warming tingle to the finish. Strong in both alcohol and flavour.

Buzzard's Roost is excited to announce the latest addition to their bourbon collection. Created from a blend of 4- and 5-year-old double-barreled bourbons, Toasted American Oak Bourbon is made from a blend of two mash bills.

The color is a vibrant mixture of bronze and apricot. With elegant and enticing tasting notes, this bourbon is best enjoyed on its own or in a classic whiskey cocktail.

To the nose, Toasted American Oak Bourbon lends itself to caramel, coconut, and vanilla notes met with delicate candy aromas. In the history of Champagne, wines that were blended for greater sweetness were customarily described as « Rich ». In Russia, consumers would add sugar to their champagne, thus adding a personal touch to their wine. The Rich blend is comprised of Pinot Noir (45%), the main pillar of Veuve Clicquot’s winemaking, which gives the champagne its fundamental structure. The large part of Meunier (40%) provides roundness to the blend and Chardonnay (15%) completes it with extra freshness. For Rich Rosé, the blend is completed with 15% Pinot Noir red wine. Rich’s uniqueness is in its dosage of 60 g/L, which enhances the blend’s aromas. As Veuve Clicquot’s Cellar Master shares, “Sugar in champagne is like spices in a recipe: used correctly it can bring out specific aromas and play with flavors.

About this Chapter 7 Whisky

Cambus, a Lowland distillery, played a key role in the establishment of grain whisky. It began distilling malt in 1806 until owner John Mubray installed two patent stills in 1836. During the 19th century, Cambus expanded to become one of the founding companies of DCL. Its ad in The Daily Mail was critical in swaying public opinion about grain whisky. This led to DCL winning their case against malt distilleries in 1908.

Chapter 7 Whisky has finished a single bourbon hogshead in three octave casks. The octaves had previously held Glen Elgin and Linkwood. This is a well aged, well finished, example of Cambus single grain whisky.
