Cabernet Cask Select
VDC Cabernet Cask Select is an American Single Malt whisky made from 100% malted barley. Aged for several years in first-fill bourbon barrels, prior to finishing in various Cabernet casks, including premium Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from France and California. Aromas of black cherry, cedar, apricot, and soft smoke meet flavors of blackberry, plum, candied ginger, and rich chocolate.

Soft amber in color, with an aroma of sweet rye grassiness upfront, followed by hints of citrus and apple. Lime can be very temperamental and difficult to distill, and after all that hard work you can still end up with a spirit that smells and tastes like artificially flavored candy. Enter the makrut lime the Thais use this citrus because of its high aromatic oil content and bold flavor. The resulting spirit is nothing like we have ever tasted unmistakably lime and endlessly complex.

All foreigners think it rains constantly in England, so we thought we’d turn that belief into a distilling and marketing opportunity with a gin that invokes the assault on the olfactory senses that we experience when we open the front doors of our already damp houses and breath in the heady scent of freshly wetted pavement. It may not rain at all where you live, but this pours beautifully. We are famous for our humour.
