An extremely limited release of 200 bottles to celebrate the 200 year anniversary of Bladnoch Distillery.

Made from two exceptional casks of Whisky distilled in 1988, the Bladnoch Bicentennial Release was first matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and finished for a final 18 months in Moscatel casks. Each personally numbered and presented in a luxurious gold plated bottle.

Aged for 18 years in our finest oak barrels, this award-winning malt is full-bodied and rounded with a deep fruity character. With wonderful sweetness and warmth intertwined with a hint of peat, Loch Lomond 18 Year Old is a rich and elegant single malt Scotch. Loch Lomond 18 year old Single Malt is a perfect representation of our signature style, has mouth-watering notes of baked apple and rich toffee with gentle wood smoke on the finish in the typical style of Loch Lomond Whiskies. Aged in three types of American oak casks, Loch Lomond 18 year old is bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered to keep things as nature intended. This expression is brought together by Michael Henry, our master blender, whose signature on each bottle is our personal assurance of quality.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Rich Mahogany.

NOSE: Waves of heather honey, dark chocolate and figs, with notes of fruit cake, mocha and cinnamon.

TASTE: Lashings of fig syrup, mocha and treacle, followed by dark chocolate, sweet spices and heather honey, fused with ginger on the finish.

Matured in a unique combination of 1st fill Bourbon and 1st fill Sherry casks for notes of fresh apple, sweet floral grass and hints of chocolate. ‘Vinaya’, a Sanskrit word meaning respect and gratitude, pays homage to the original founders of the distillery who paved the way, as Bladnoch looks forward to an exciting new era of production and innovation.

Johnnie Walker High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky features a unique mash bill of 60% rye aged in American oak barrels, and includes notable single malts from distilleries such as Cardhu, an important part of the Johnnie Walker Black Label flavor. The result is a balance of sweet vanilla notes and the spiciness of rye that become revealed through subtle wisps of warm smoke.

FOUNDERS

Our story started with a shop in Perth and founder John Dewar. Together with sons John Alexander Dewar and Tommy Dewar, these three men changed the course of whisky history, and created some mighty fine products along the way. Our Celtic truth knot, a sign of strength and longevity, is constructed from the three D’s representing our founders – John, Tommy and John Alexander Dewar.

Dewar’s brings together Scotland and Japan for an amazing flavour experience highlighting a distinctive and harmonious blend of cinnamon, sandalwood and floral notes. Dewar’s Japanese Smooth is an 8-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky finished in Japanese (Mizunara) Oak Casks and is the fourth in an innovative cask series line-up. This rich and full-bodied whisky brings a unique finishing process to the double-aged Dewar’s blend, creating an approachable and smooth whisky with an extraordinary difference.

The true reflection of the Japanese highball, elegant, chilled and perfectly effervescent with unmistakable honey and a hint of cinnamon spice on the palate and a long and slightly dry finish achieving the balance of harmony just like Japanese culture. With this highball temperature is key, the colder the drink, the longer we retain the carbonation. Bubbles carry flavour from the bottom to the top so ice is essential!

A honeyed dram with notes of fruit, spices, lots of vanilla and just a hint of smoke.

With hoards of honey fruitcake & dark chocolate, this expression has a rich, mouth-coating finish.

3- ABERFELDY 21 YEAR OLD - 200ML

Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is a single malt scotch whisky with floral heather honey, creamy intensity, dried fruits & toasted coconut.

Glenfiddich presented by Mr Porter is limited to only 1,500 bottles worldwide. It is a beautifully complex 20 Year Old producing layers of fudge, spiced oak and caramelised Demerara sugar. A true collector’s item in the making, the limited edition Glenfiddich Presented by Mr Porter is a treasure to be enjoyed with close friends, an elegant addition to home bars and the perfect accessory for raising a dram.

During a time when efficiency took priority over quality, our distillery was viewed as outdated. Prior to its closure in 1994, our single malt accounted for less than 1% of all "pre-renaissance" whiskies still maturing in our warehouses. However, our older spirits have become highly prized and cherished. To honor the exceptional work of our predecessors, our head distiller, Adam Hannett, has meticulously nurtured the finite 1992 vintage on its 29-year journey through various casks. This unpeated spirit has been matured in top-quality oak and its recipe is kept highly confidential, as is customary with all previous Black Art editions. The 9th edition of Black Art is our most alchemic single malt and the oldest ever produced. It is the epitome of the Black Art series and is designated as Edition 09.1.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: The color is a deep russet.

Aroma: The fragrance is simply breathtaking, with tropical fruit, coconut, tobacco, oak spices, and toasted pine needles interweaving to create a complex aroma. Over time, this magnificent whisky releases waves of succulent mango, honey-drizzled melon, warm orange zest, grilled pineapple, and ripe summer strawberries. The scent is tantalizingly fruity and mouth-watering, with gentle oak nuances of coconut, ginger, buttery shortbread, vanilla custard, and a hint of tobacco.

Palate: The viscosity and depth of this dram are unparalleled. The tobacco and brown sugar notes of the oak provide the foundation for the superb fruit combinations to shine. A hint of water and a second sip reveal even more of the intricate layers of this remarkable whisky.

Finish: The luscious fruit sweetness lingers on the tongue for an extended period, with apricot, mango, and baked banana flavors, along with toasted sweet oak, honey, and vanilla. One never wants the experience to end.

Character: In creating this edition of Black Art, we were inspired by the efforts made in crafting the earlier versions of this series, where there was an unrelenting quest to layer flavor. This whisky rested in some of the finest casks, acquiring a delicate layer of fruit before being moved to a new cask. We carefully monitored and tasted it, seeking new directions with each new cask, until it reached perfection.

Octomore 12.2 follows in the footsteps of previous Sauternes legends, confirming that heavy peat smoke combined with the sweet dessert wine of the French region is an incredible pairing. And in parallel, it follows in the footsteps of the now infamous Octomore 4.2 (Comus), which became one of the most acclaimed and sought- after whiskies in our distillery’s portfolio.

Making a statement in its surprising pairing and balance of sweet and smoky, this Octomore 12.2 spent three and a half years in ex-American oak casks, building a solid foundation of fruity and floral spirit in our lochside warehouses before being recasked in to impeccable quality Sauternes casks. The pivotal role of the Sauternes casks add 18 months of supercharged fruit.
Melon, white peach, honeysuckle and coconut add a real twist and sweetness to compliment the peat smoke of this heavily phenolic malt.

TASTING NOTES

CHARACTER: The Sauternes casks bring another dimension to the vitality of Octomore. The honey-soaked fruit and dry smoke work beautifully together; that classic combination of smoke and sweet fruit coming to the fore.

COLOUR: Amber

NOSE: Notes of melon, honey and smoked almonds can be found on the nose. Toasted oak and earthy smoke are held back by layers of fruit and honey, opening up to orange peel, peaches, ripe sweet melon, lemon and honey - all wrapped in a malted grain sweetness. Dried apple and pear drops come next with a wave of peat smoke and toasted oak, releasing earthy and pine resin notes.

PALATE: Lusciously soft and sweet, fruit sweeps across the palate with bursts of lemon zest, vanilla, melon and orange blossom. Another sip highlights the structure the French oak brings with caramel, baking spices and a touch of dryness, carrying the smoke and the malt sweetness. The presence of ripe fruit drizzled in sweet syrup speaks of the influence of the Sauternes casks.

FINISH: On the finish, a salty lemon tang arrives as the fruit and oak subtly fade. Earthy peat smoke moves in to dominate the finish and stamp the Octomore DNA on this dram.

Octomore 12.3 is single vintage, single field, single malt. Raised in Church Field on Octomore Farm by friend and farmer James Brown, this Islay grown barley has been trickle distilled through our tall narrow necked stills just two miles from where it was grown. This terroir-driven spirit would take two separate journeys before being combined; 75% was filled into ex-American whiskey casks, while the remaining 25% spent five years maturing in genuine Pedro Ximenez Solera casks from Jerez bodega Fernando de Castilla. This Islay barley spirit has breathed slowly and delicately for five aged years, its salty citrus marine note resulting from the locale of where the barley was grown and our warehouses proximity to the sea. The Pedro Ximenez casks contribute sweet dried fruit notes which highlight the rich dry peat smoke of Octomore.

A Night on Earth is our annual gifting series that connects the seasonal joy of coming together, celebrating and well wishes, using fire as a central symbol.

The changing of the year is a time of reflection,  celebrating together and making new resolutions for the season to come. The Macallan A Night on Earth in Scotland is the first expression in The Macallan’s festive whisky series, which marks the changing of the season and year, and the celebrations around this wonderful night on earth.

Each release will reflect on a different destination, exploring its local and family traditions, capturing the universal joy of celebrating a special occasion with loved ones. 

Rare Cask Releases

Since 1875, Glenglassaugh distillery has sat quietly on the edge of the picturesque Sandend Bay, breathing in the North Sea air which flows through its warehouses and invigorates its sweet Highland spirit with notes of the sea. Silent for a period of more than 20 years, the distillery was re-awakened in 2008 and its stills brought back to life. Unearthed from the coastal warehouses, a rare collection of vintage casks were discovered from before the distillery fell quiet.

These forgotten whiskies can now be experienced as part of our Glenglassaugh rare cask series. Glenglassaugh rare casks are a discovery to be made, each cask telling its own story. All casks are bottled without chill filtration, for natural character, with the pure colour drawn entirely from the wood of the cask.

Our leading brand, which is the key focus of our company, is our internationally-acclaimed Raw Cask whisky. These are whiskies from the old school, as they would have been drawn from a cask behind a bar in Scotland back in the 1800s. This was before whisky was chill filtered or heavily filtered – a process which removes a lot of the naturally-occurring oils and esters from the whisky, which is where the flavours are held. To prove that we do not filter our Raw Cask whiskies, you will discover some of the cask sediment in every bottle – this is our assurance of its completely natural and ‘raw’ state. It is the King of Single Casks!
