TASTING NOTES

Color: Bright golden color with silver hues and great body.

Nose/Aroma: Intense aroma has been obtained in American oak barrels like vanilla, caramel, coconut and maple.  The cooked agave is intense and sweet; the herbal aroma like mint, orange, lemon and grapefruit fresh has developed the 4 copas Reposado style –   Balanced and elegant.

Taste/Mouthfeel: In the mouth it is sweet and soft.   Notes of vanilla, coconut and cooked agave. The mouthfeel is intense and the after taste is pleasantly bitter.

This exquisite Limited Edition bottle and box are works of art unto themselves. Each is individually numbered for authenticity. The Wild Turkey distillery, then known as Boulevard, was built in 1935 by the Ripy Brothers in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The Wild Turkey brand name originated around 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip, was referred to as "some of that wild turkey whiskey." It is distilled at bottled by the Austin Nicholls company and for many years they had sourced the whiskey from the Ripy's, but eventually bought the distillery from them in 1972, renaming it in the process. Of almost equal importance, the purchase of the distillery included the contract of legendary master distillery, Jimmy Russell, who started working there in 1954. His name is synonymous with the brand, and his son succeeded him 2015. In 2011 a new Wild Turkey distillery was built on the same site, replacing the original Ripy plant after 76 years.

Barrelled at a lower proof and stored in lower, cooler warehouse B to allow a slower maturation.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of fruit, baked fully-ripened agave, green olive, and earth are invitingly present. Slightly brighter and a touch more rustic than the regular blanco, the accents of butter, olive, earth, black pepper, and vegetal qualities in the flavor are enhanced because it comes straight from our small copper pot still, without adding water prior to bottling.

For years, the only way to sample this was to visit our distillery in Tequila, Jalisco. Until now.

Barr Hill Vodka is our tribute to the hardworking beekeepers. In late summer, we take delivery of hundreds of barrels of their pure raw honey. Their season’s work is what makes our vodka truly special. Our recipe depends on two simple principles: we never heat the honey prior to fermentation and we never distill more than twice. Our technique preserves the wild yeast and the rich aromatics of nectar - delivering the floral depth of wildflower fields straight to your glass.

THE BENROMACH STORY

We are a traditional Speyside distillery owned by a family of whisky-lovers intent on making single malt the right way with true character.

We keep things simple. A handful of distillers relying entirely on our expertise and senses to make the finest handmade whisky; Speyside single malt matured exclusively in first-fill casks, with a subtly smoky character. It takes just four ingredients – barley, water, yeast, and a human touch.

All of our casks are hand-filled, individually weighed, stenciled by hand, and stowed in our traditional dunnage warehouses. Why? Because at Benromach we believe making whisky by hand guarantees genuine character.

OUR HISTORY

Our family, the Urquharts of Elgin, have always been passionate about whisky. Our ancestor John began laying down casks of single malt at different distilleries in 1915, when everyone else was blending their whiskies.

It was the realization of a long-held dream when we acquired Benromach Distillery in 1993. Five years of meticulous refitting of the distillery followed before HRH Prince Charles officially reopened our doors in 1998.

Time well spent creating a style of single malt reminiscent of the days before commercial maltings. A time when Speyside distilleries malted their own barley using peat to fuel the fires and impart a distinctive touch of smoke to their whiskies. The resurrection of Benromach Distillery signaled the rediscovery of a lost style of Speyside single malt.

CÎROC Mango is a rich tasting spirit made with vodka distilled five times from fine French grapes. The spirit is masterfully infused with a distinctive blend of mango and other natural flavors, resulting in a taste experience that is lusciously different and elegantly smooth. Enjoy on the rocks, as a shot or mixed in your favorite cocktail.

On entry it is very soft, silky mouth feel and well balanced with flavors of cooked blue agave, tropical fruit, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon spice, fennel and black pepper.Agave, fruit, vanilla and toffee, flavors linger. Finishes soft with the right amount of heat.
