Our 8-month reposado in American oak, 2-year añejo in American oak, 3-year extra añejo in French oak, and 5-year extra añejo in American oak each reveal nuanced flavors. Blending them in precise proportions highlights their individual qualities, resulting in a sophisticated spirit with unparalleled balance and complexity. Our cooking process involves slow cooking in autoclaves, while juice extraction is carried out using customized standard mills. Fermentation utilizes proprietary and natural occurring yeast, and distillation occurs in copper pots.

The perfect marriage of richness and brightness expressed by notes of honey nougat, sweet cornbread biscuits, and lemon zest with caramel apples and pecan pie lingering on the finish. At first sight, the intense golden colour promises round generosity.

A very expressive and indulgent nose reveals yellow and dried fruit, toasted almonds, hazelnut, maple syrup, meringue and mandarin liqueur.

On the palate it is generous, deep, ample and fresh with aromatic persistence and a long finish. It has notes of nougat, frangipane, pastry, tarte tatin, plenty of citrus with a beautiful finish on pink grapefruit skin.

Our distillers hand-picked the highest quality barrels to blend a Straight Bourbon Whiskey guaranteed to warm the heart and soothe the soul. At 100 proof, J.J. Pfister Bourbon is a superb blend of 4 and 5 year aged barrels, with no less than 3 char.

TASTING NOTES

Our blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers a powerful nose of allspice, dark caramel, black pepper, and saddle leather – juxtaposed with fragrant floral notes of dark violet. The palate is a favorable balance of sweet and savory with a touch of spice – with notes of dark butter scotch, cocoa, cherry, and chocolate. The spice of Bourbon will follow through the long, warm finish with welcomed additions of honeyed oak, vanilla, black pepper, and turned earth.

Coming from the South Pacific Distillery in the Fiji Islands, this unique expression, an alliance of both pot and column stills, was distilled in 2009. Very intense, this vintage rum, aged for 7 years in Fiji and 2-3 years in Ferrand casks in France, is rich and round, with notes of buttery vanilla, caramel, cocoa and ginger ale as well as quince, hazelnuts and coconut.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Very intense, it opens on notes of prickly pear and varnishes a profile that is woody and oily. It then becomes
fruitier and spicier on banana, pecan, nutmeg and oak.

Palate: It is rich and round, it follows the nose with notes of buttery vanilla caramel, cocoa, ginger ale and fruity notes of quince, hazelnuts and coconut.

SYMBOL: The medallion on the label symbolizes the tropical flower, a figure of the green flora of Fiji.

OUR STORY

Belle Glos showcases distinctive Pinot Noirs produced from California’s most noteworthy coastal wine-growing regions. While each vineyard location lies near the Pacific Ocean, the climate differences are significant, varying with the amount of fog, wind, sunlight, and soil type at each site. Each Vineyard Designate is crafted to distill the purest essence of the locale into elegant expressions of California Pinot Noir. Owner/winemaker, Joe Wagner chose the name Belle Glos (pronounced “BELL GLOSS”) to honor his grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner. Lorna was a co-founder of Caymus Vineyards, an inspirational figure to Joseph and an avid lover of Pinot Noir.

Belle Glos Pinot Noir Clark & Telephone 2019 has Deep ruby red color with lush aromas of ripe cherry, nutmeg, and dark chocolate laced with clove, cedar, and lightly toasted oak. Bold and unctuous on the palate with dark ripe fruit, baking spices, cocoa, and blueberry pie filling. The texture is rich and velvety which leads to a long, structured finish.
