Sweet, indulgent and wondrously creamy, our latest limited edition encapsulates the ice cream parlour’s delights. Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream is the fifth release in our award-winning A Tale Of… series, which showcases our whisky creators’ relentless imagination.

Some time ago, Dr Bill began to imagine how he could capture the lavish flavours found in an ice cream parlour in a single malt, bringing out even more sweet and creamy vanilla-like flavours in Glenmorangie’s spirit. And after a host of experiments, he and Master Blender, Gillian Macdonald, united single malt aged in bourbon casks with our first whisky finished in high-vanillin casks. These new oak casks had been especially toasted to bring out more vanilla qualities; rippling with notes of ripe peaches, vanilla and coconut, A Tale of Ice Cream takes Glenmorangie’s sweet, fruity flavours to a decadent peak. This whisky’s pastel-toned presentation box evokes the mouth-watering hues, swirls of sauce, textures, and toppings found in the most luxurious ice cream parlours.

THE TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Bronze

AROMA: A burst of manuka honey, with lemon-flavoured butter candy, baking raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, toffee and a hint of spice. With a splash of water, there is vanilla crème anglaise, a hint of coconut and a suggestion of almond marzipan.

TASTE: The texture is thick, rich and creamy. It is followed by a huge burst of sweet and spicy flavours – brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet and desiccated coconut. Spices warm the palate, with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

FINISH: A long, lingering aftertaste combines hints of toffee apple, sweet popcorn and a note of aniseed.

Hampden Estate Great House Old Pure Single Jamaican Rum 2024 Edition is a tribute to the storied history of the Hampden distillery, where casks were traditionally stored in the “Great House” until the 20th century, waiting to be shipped to Europe and America. Golden Moon Triple is distilled from 100% malted barley, grown in Colorado and the surrounding states, and malted in Golden, Colorado. It is mashed, fermented, distilled at Golden Moon distillery. It is triple distilled in the Irish style and aged in New American Oak casks. It is then bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof). Golden Moon Triple is a uniquely Colorado whiskey.

1000 Stories Zinfandel is released in batches to reflect a unique mix of grape varieties, vineyards, and bourbon barrels. No two batches are the same. The layered flavors of Zinfandel coupled with our bold barrel ageing method result in notes of cranberries, prunes, Marcona almonds, toffee, oregano and thyme.

Lodi’s historic old-vine Zinfandel sites contribute the largest portion of this blend, along with fruit from Mendocino County and San Luis Obispo. Warm afternoons in Lodi enhance the berry flavors while fruit from the cooler coastal regions bring softer characteristics and balance.

In the bold tradition of 1000 Stories, Batch 91 was aged in French and American oak barrels, then finished in aged bourbon barrels. Our Zinfandel Batch 88 is light to medium bodied with a soft tannin structure and lengthy finish.

The layered flavors of Zinfandel coupled with our bold barrel ageing method result in notes of cranberries, dark cherries, currants, cinnamon, vanilla beans, toffee and dried herbs.

MacNair’s Lum Reek 21-year-old is a marriage of Single Malts from Islay and Speyside – two of the most sought-after whisky regions in Scotland – combining both peated and unpeated spirit to create a perfectly balanced and complex malt. Black Opal 2024 release is a rare unearthing of Widow Jane’s oldest whiskey. Aged 20 years and finished in prized Mizunara Oak casks, it’s a whiskey to savor & cherish. In the pursuit of even rarer & more intense bourbon, Widow Jane unearths its oldest whiskey yet. Each year as part of the Parker's Heritage Collection, we select a special Whiskey to be released in the name of our late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, Rye, and Wheat Whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse American Whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.

The 18th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection® consists of 14-year-old Malt Whiskey aged in the upper floors of Rickhouses O and Q. Then, barrels that previously held Cognac were reconstructed to include a handful of new heavy toast staves. The Malt Whiskey was then rebarreled in the reconstructed barrels and aged for almost four months. Bottled at 107 proof without chill filtration, the rebarreling transforms the Malt Whiskey's earthy, herbal characteristics into complex notes of molasses, dark chocolate, and dried summer fruit.

Color: Polished Teak
Nose: Oranges and summer fruit at first, then black, herbal tea. Dark chocolate and caramel.
