Salted Caramel has the distinguished title of king of the hill when it comes to our flavored spirits. We sell enough of this delicious whiskey to make any bootlegger blush, and for good reason. Dangerously smooth on the palate, this savory and sweet blend of caramel spirit leaves nothing to be desired as you experience the result of years of gentle adjustment of our recipe in the pursuit of a superior product.

The sixth decade of a collection celebrating The Six Decades of Bond.

DESCRIPTION 

The collection is an exhibition of the most iconic moments across the Six Decades of Bond; each decade encapsulated on its own packaging. Bringing to life the innovations and inventions of James Bond across the years, the packaging has been colour washed with one of the trending colours of the decade it represents. 

DECADE VI

In 2012 Skyfall brought the audience back to James Bond’s childhood home, but also tragically destroyed it. Daniel Craig’s performances endeared further notes of domesticity, deep love and family. 

Making the character more relatable than ever, Craig reveals a vulnerable humanity at Bond’s core, without compromising any trademark resolve or physical capability.  

The packaging design features childhood home Skyfall Lodge in Skyfall (2012), and a Day of the Dead poster from Spectre (2015).

ABOUT THE RELEASE

This exceptional single malt whisky has been created by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell to reflect the character of James Bond. A force of nature defined by his Scottish heritage, he carries himself with modesty and humility. 

Like James Bond, the expression exudes a sense of style and maturity which has evolved over the years. The whisky is consistent within all six bottles.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: Fresh and vibrant notes of lemon and lime, a sprinkle of sherbet, leading into a sweet vanilla and coconut, with a hint of dried fig and raisin.

PALATE: Orange zest and fizzy sherbet with a lemon freshness, gentle oak and subtle ginger spice, leading into a deep dark chocolate, figs and baked apple tart with a honey drizzle.

FINISH: Sweet and long with complexed layers.

COLOUR: Suisse (Swiss) gold

THE BOND ARCHIVE
The distinct range tells the story of innovation over 60 years and the pioneering character attributes of James Bond and The Macallan. James Bond is a modern innovator and man of perennial evolution. The Bond films have become closely associated with ingenious 007 gadgets that are used on his mission to deliver for the greater good; and have become a hallmark of the franchise’s popularity. 

Decade VI explores the Bond innovations and archives of the 2010s. The pack design features a Day of The Dead poster from Spectre (2015) and a Skyfall Lodge illustration from Skyfall (2012).

The Day of the Dead poster calls back to the action packed opening sequence in Spectre. Instead of filming Mexico’s popular festival, the production created their own version, taking over Zocalo Square with over 1,500 extras.

The GlenDronach Port Wood is inspired by the historical import of casked port into Scotland during the 19th century. During the 1800s, port was ‘de rigueur’, and many of the finest port pipes would travel from Portugal, down its Douro River, destined for the wine cellars of Scotland’s gentry. Whilst many years have passed, Portugal’s majestic Douro Valley is still renowned for its exceptional port. We have selected some of its finest port pipes to house The GlenDronach for a second maturation period of three years. Our Master Blender has expertly combined the whisky from these port pipes, to create a fruit-filled ten-year-old expression, with layers of ripe berries rolling into its signature long, lingering finish.

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Intense cherry wood

NOSE: Breathe in delightful waves of Victoria plum, bramble and strawberry jam with top notes of cherry blossom and honeysuckle on a base of sandalwood and ginger.

PALATE: Layers upon layers of rich fruits. Sip blackberry and roasted apple crumble with freshly baked gingerbread, developing into a baked orange and black cherry back-note.

CONCLUSION: Savour orange peel, sultana and cherry cake lingering into the richly fruity finish.

Maker Notes

The Camarena brothers used to run the Santa Maria ranch from sunset to sunset. The only thing that could stop them was their parents call to come home for dinner. Driven by the unbridled passion that lived in their hearts, one afternoon in the cold winters of 1976, they left the ranch without permission to ride their horses, taking them to the municipal lane of Arandas for a clandestine race of 100 rods, the young brothers looked at each other with the certainty that this day would remain engraved in their memories; with passion and enthusiasm, they set off on their horses in an unprecedented race, competing head to head….A few meters from the end of the race, the unexpected happens, they see that the chain of the finish line is set and they know perfectly well that their end is near… Suddenly, the imposing mare «Paloma» runs to line up next to the horse «Pinto», and with the sum of their strength they manage to break the chain, saving the lives of the Camarena brothers. That moment was the motivation to follow a dream, Tequila Carrera.

TASTING NOTES

Flavor: Anise bitterness in it, light cinnamon, and hint of vanilla.

Taste: The acidity of the soil where the agave is grown gives the taste of the lime zest.

Extras: Our tequila Blanco is very well balanced and enjoyable, is a perfect everyday sipper.

This is the ultimate Russian Vodka. By combining authentic Russian character with exceptional silky smoothness, this vodka ascends well above existing Premium vodka brands to the levels of a true work of art, beyond the Super-Premium classification.

The ancient recipes are revived to produce ULTRA vodka, but the distilled spirits used to prepare this vodka undergo additional rectification treatment to practically eliminate the traces of congeners present in all lower quality vodkas. We are thrilled to announce the next chapter in our Origins Series tradition with INTENTION, our 2022 release. This expression represents some of the oldest and most exceptional whiskeys we have to offer.

COMING TOGETHER WITH INTENTION
With INTENTION we sought to create a whiskey with distinct intricacy and balance
using our flagship Four Grain Straight Bourbon. To achieve this outcome, we selected and combined barrels from a spectrum of ages, ranging from three to ten years old at cask strength. In this marriage, every barrel contributes toward creating a harmony of flavor featuring the younger barrels’ brighter grain and fruit notes complimented by the older barrels’ richer character and flavors.

TASTE AND AROMAS
Ripe peaches, cherries, orange blossom, honey, and corn pudding on the nose with green melon, buttery pastry, sweet cinnamon, and black tea on the palate. Medium body with a bright, lingering finish.

Mash bill: 60% corn, 20% heirloom wheat, 10% heirloom rye, 10% heirloom malted barley

Total maturation time: A marriage of barrels 3-10 years old

A Blend of Straight Rye Whiskeys finished in rum-seasoned Oloroso Sherry Casks.

90% — 6 y/o Indiana Straight Rye Whiskey (95/5)

10% — 4 y/o Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey (95/5)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Ryegrass, vanilla, raspberry, raisins, baking spices and oak wood.

Palate: Big bold notes of orange and other assorted dark fruits balanced perfectly with hints of chocolate and caramel all balanced perfectly with plenty of spices like clove and nutmeg.

Description
X-Gin’s recipe involves the juniper berry and 15 hand-selected specialty spices, herbs and botanicals sourced from all around the world. Painstakingly refined over 20 months in a process involving 100 trial recipes, the finalized product contains a hint of cocoa from Colombia, almonds from Piemonte (Italy), hazelnuts from Avola (Italy), wild pepper and a whiff of vanilla from Madagascar. Its pure and soft aromas provoke an intense feeling of pleasure.

Blend & Aging Process

This whiskey begins with a blend of 5-6 year old MGP bourbon (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley), 6-year-old MGP bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley), and 8-year-old Kentucky corn whiskey (99% corn, 1% malted barley). After blending, the whiskey is aged for 3 months in toasted barrels from Independent Stave Company and Speyside Cooperage, before being finished for 1 month in barrels that previously held honey from Fern Valley Farms in Arkansas. The result is a wonderfully balanced whiskey with a sweet, honeyed finish that showcases both boldness and refinement.
