Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is finished in port wine casks for an award-winning spirit. We guide each batch’s conditioning, blending our handcrafted bourbon in small batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time.

It’s typically aged for up to 6 years. While we lose about 5% of the spirit each year to evaporation, or “the Angel’s Share,” what’s left behind after we’re done is truly worthy of envy.

Once it’s deemed ready, we finish our bourbon in ruby port wine casks, which adds subtly distinct flavor nuances that enhance the whiskey without challenging it. Our port finishing process lasts between three to six months, depending on taste.

We use 60-gallon ruby port barrels made from French oak and imported directly from Portugal. This creates a whiskey of unprecedented smoothness, sweetness and balance.

Appearance: Gold color laced with reddish amber hues, nearly copper in tone

Nose: You’ll detect notes of subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs includes some 25–30 different chardonnay crus, predominantly from the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, the Sézannais and La Vallée de la Vesle. They reflect the rich diversity of the Champagne terroir.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Visually, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has a brilliant robe with a beautiful pale yellow color and slight hints of almond green and jade green reflections.

THE NOSE: The first nose reveals intense aromas of fresh fruit: ripe lemon, juicy pear, or freshly picked peach. The secondary aromas are more floral with hints of white flowers, accompanied by a spicy touch combining ginger and pink peppercorns.

PALATE: Balancing tension with roundness, the enveloping structure is highlighted by fresh aromas of ripe citrus and tropical fruit. With a long and delicate finale.

Maker Notes

In memory of grandfather Antonio we celebrate the Return to the Origins with Amaro Nonino Quintessentia® by creating a RISERVA which boasts more than 24 months of natural ageing in oak barriques and small casks.
Antonio Nonino, third generation of the family of Distillers, used to keep Amaro Carnia in small wooden casks. Steel was prohibitive. The infusion in contact with wood evolved and was enriched with new notes and new aromas.
Although there is no clear regulation on the aging of liqueurs, in respect of the philosophy that has always accompanied us, aging takes place in a dedicated cellar, under seal and permanent surveillance by the Customs and Monopoly Office: the result is extraordinary!

A return to the origins, Antonio Nonino’s ancient recipe meets again the softness of aging in barriques and small casks.

TASTING NOTES

With great softness, the citrous notes are lessened and it gains great elegance declined in different and enveloping notes. At the beginning autumnal brushwood and moss fragrances that leave way to scents of raisins and passito. Balsamic scents that balance the bitter notes of rhubarb, scent of flamed orange and caramelized vanilla, great persistence and intensity.

With a tart berry start and lingering sweetness on the finish, our Blackberry Whiskey will take you back to carefree afternoons spent picking blackberries with Grandma. Barrelhouse enthusiasts will notice the effort and the attention that is given to our Blackberry Whiskey, using natural flavorings to capture the essence of fresh-picked blackberries, with extra effort taken into preserving the integrity of the spirit. This whiskey is perfect on its own or mixed with sweet tea, lemonade, or your choice of lemon lime soda.

The heavenly delicious aroma and flavor of the well-known Crème Brûlée-dessert fills the nose and soothes the tongue (and soul). This is a sweet, well-rounded cream liqueur with the perfect notes of vanilla, caramel and brown sugar.
