KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

In 1773, three McAfee Brothers named James, George and Robert left Virginia westward to explore the uncharted territory that would later become known as Kentucky. Traveling by canoe at first, the McAfee Company eventually followed a native trail overland that led to the great buffalo crossing, where the brothers surveyed the land now home to the world’s most award-winning distillery – Buffalo Trace Distillery. The surveyor marks left behind are known as benchmarks and this bourbon whiskey honors the pioneering spirits of these early American explorers.

TASTING NOTES

The nose bears caramel notes with a delicate stone-fruit backdrop. A robust and sturdy palate with some fine leather notes mingling with dry tobacco, a touch of oak and a hint of dried cherries. The finish is smooth and calming.

Cleveland Christmas Bourbon greets you will the aroma of grandma’s kitchen just before Christmas when she has been preparing all the holiday goodies filled with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The flavor doesn’t disappoint either. Fruitcake and Eggnog flavors without the heaviness or the cream. (Don’t worry you can always add some) A medium finish knows that this is a limited time item. Known as the founding father of the modern bourbon industry, Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was committed to making unparalleled bourbon through his steadfast attention to detail and passion for innovation. This unique bourbon combines barrels from three signature mashbills that matured for eighteen years, including two different rye bourbon mashbills and our wheated bourbon mashbill. The marriage of bourbon mashbills gives this magnificent whiskey a nose of vanilla butter cake, a rich palate of caramel and cinnamon, and long finish of toasted oak, cinnamon, and hint of spearmint. INGREDIENTS: Corn, wheat, rye, malt, and water 

TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Honey, vanilla, and caramel

Enjoy the following cocktail recipe:

6 mint leaves
5 fresh Bing cherries, pitted
1 tbsp (22 g) simple syrup
Crushed ice
3 oz (90 ml) Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Place 5 mint leaves, 4 cherries and simple syrup in a silver julep cup and gently muddle. Add your crushed ice followed by your bourbon. Give a shake and garnish it with a sprig of mint and 1 cherry.

Our award-winning Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey, infused with Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey, resulting in a smooth, light bourbon with a sweet honey finish. Our Master Distiller transformed used bourbon barrels into small, wooden cubes that were immersed in honey. After fully absorbing it, they were placed in the belly of a stainless-steel tank, letting the bourbon soak up those delicious honey flavors every single day for seven months.

Our most highly acclaimed and celebrated bourbon stands out among even the finest whiskeys in the world. Aged at least three years in choice oak barrels, it is masterfully-crafted from a highly unique four grain mash bill made exclusively from local New York State grains. Rated 90 in Whisky Advocate - Taconic Distillery's Double Barrel Maple Bourbon is the product of a collaboration with Catskill Mountain Sugarhouse. Freshly dumped Bourbon barrels are sent to Catskill Mountain Sugarhouse who fills them with their New York Grade A Organic Maple Syrup. After a few months of aging, the barrel aged maple syrup is bottled and sold. Those same barrels are then immediately refilled with bourbon. After a few months of soaking up the sweetness, the annual release of their Double Barrel Maple Bourbon is produced. 

The initial sweetness lingers with the earthiness of the barrels, resulting in a slightly sweet butteriness which is unmistakable.

Aged a minimum of 5 years at 90 proof.

New Riff Distilling’s core Bourbon expression is a genuinely high-rye, full bodied whiskey offering savory, spicy character. Building upon America’s 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act-already the highest quality standard for aged spirits in the world-New Riff Bourbon is Bottled In Bond Without Chill Filtration. Featuring a mash bill of non-GMO grains at 65% corn,30% rye, and 5% malted barley, it represents a new riff on Kentucky’s most hallowed whiskey traditions. Aged four years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels, there are no shortcuts taken in our production. All New Riff whiskeys are made with the full sour mash Kentucky Regimen; all carry an age statement, and are always bottled without chill filtration.

The perfect intersection of the gin and whiskey world. It’s the right choice for the adventurous drinker who is ready to take on a high-proof, category bending libation.

Distilled in the same process as our award-winning American Gin, we use the identical 12 botanicals to flavor our signature herbaceous, citrusy gin. In true bourbon fashion, the unaged spirit was placed in virgin White American Oak char #3 barrels at 62.5% ABV to rest post-distillation.

Through evaporative loss over the maturation period, the alcohol level dipped to 122 proof. After barrel harvest, the spirit was passed through a light particle filter to remove the residual charcoal fragments from the inside of the charred barrels.

No chill-filtration was utilized, as to not disturb the delicate essential oils that maintain the spirit’s gin profile.

TASTING NOTES

Color: copper / burnt orange

Aroma: Sweet honey, pine and bourbon.

Taste: Barrel notes of oak and vanilla give way to citrus and warm winter spices, like ginger and nutmeg.
