BACKGROUND
A small family farm on the southwest coast of Ireland and an Irish farmer with a very big dream.

The Scully family, the founders of Clonakilty distillery, have farmed this windswept coastal land for 9 successive generations. With the best resources that nature has to offer, prime land, pristine water and salt sea air, they had the perfect ingredients for a maritime distillery.

It is here that we distill our award-winning new make, alongside our visitor experience and shop. This is where the magic starts, and is the home of Clonakilty whiskey.

BARLEY FIELDS
We grow our own heritage barley on our family farm in the shadow of the Galley Head lighthouse.

Centuries of sea mist, soft rain and ocean spray provide a complexity to the soil that permeates through to each individual grain.

The Distillers at Clonakilty have hand selected an 8 year old grain and 10 year old triple distilled malt to create this first single batch Clonakilty Irish whiskey. 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Soft spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass, slightly perfumed, riple apple/pear notes. Fresh leather tones. 

Palate: Warm spices - cubed pepper and ginger. Fresh cut grass, hazelnut and almond notes. 

Finish: Well-balanced Irish whiskey with spices lingering on the palate.

Born of heritage barley grown in Atlantic soil, triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills and cut with the purest of water. TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh, ripe peaches and zesty aromas, creamy with a hint of wood character in the background.

Palate: Very fruity with peaches and zests, soft spices, some chili and cardamom in the length.

Finish: Middle long with a gentle pepperiness, the spices linger and get softer towards the end. 

The Teeling Whiskey Company is proud to introduce this special release of some of the oldest Irish Single Malt in the world. Matured initially in Bourbon casks before being given an additional maturation in ex-Sauternes wine barrels, imparting a distinctly unique flavour. Limited to 4,000 bottles per batch and bottled at 46% with no chill filtration completing a whiskey of true character. Building on the major international success of the 24 Year Old Single Malt which one World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2019 and the Teeling 28 Year Old Single Malt which won World’s Best Irish Single Malt at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards, we are proud to present the Teeling 30 Year Old Single Malt.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Luxurious combination of fresh orchard fruits, roasted nuts and chocolate.

Taste: Velvety smooth with real depth of peach and apricot, hints of citrus fruits are interwoven with a light touch of smoke and herbal woody notes.

Finish: Long, lingering fruit notes with a distinctive mix of spicy oak and smoked sea salt.

A creamy, sweet liqueur made with a combination of Black Irish whiskey, Irish spirit, caramel and vanilla. The result is aromas of toffee, butter, cream, vanilla and sweet spices that are echoed throughout the palate.

Slane Special Edition is inspired by Lord Henry Conyngham and the first Slane Castle Concert that took place on August 16, 1981. Now more than 40 years later, Henry’s trailblazing idea lives on both through the concert and Slane Irish Whiskey.

Slane Special Edition uses Slane Irish Whiskey’s signature triple casked blend with an increased amount of Virgin Casks to go with the Seasoned and Sherry Casks. Distilled in 1992, this Irish single malt was initially matured in hand-selected bourbon barrels for more than 10 years before being re-casked in 2004 to be finished in PX sherry casks. Bottled without chill filtration at 106 proof, it's a wonderfully mature 29-year-old whiskey.

Wonders of Wood is a new whiskey release aged in new Chinkapin white oak launched by Dublin’s Teeling Whiskey Company. This whiskey is noted for its wide wood grain. The pot still mix of 50% malted and 50% unmalted barley and matured in new oak casks.

Tasting Notes

Color: Golden maple

Nose: honeyed sweet, a hint spicy, along with grassy and woody notes.

Flavor: toffee and malty honey at the hip, with the spicy and woody side growing hoarier and spicier

Finish: dry, spicy oak

St Kevin of Glendalough

The story of St Kevin is where we draw our inspiration. He abandoned safety and comfort to follow his passion and create something more meaningful in the mountains. Born of Irish royalty but a man apart, St Kevin disappeared into the mountains and became one with the wild. For 7 years he lived off the land by the upper lake of Glendalough and pondered his place in the world. He would stand and pray, arms outstretched and often up to his waist in the lake, just to add to the challenge. He did this so often and for so long, that one fateful day a blackbird landed in his hand.
He was so at one with nature, she felt safe enough to lay her eggs. This he took as a sign, as a test of his resolve. So he stood day and night until the eggs hatched and the chicks fledged.

One of many stories that spread around Ireland and inspired people to seek out this holy man and his deep, hidden valley. He eventually built his "City of 7 Churches" by the lower lake that still stands 14 centuries later.

Glendalough's Mizunara

Glendalough's Mizunara 7-year single malt is vivid, but delicate with seamless depth. It is vibrant, fruity, and floral on the nose, enjoying a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon synonymous with Mizunara whiskeys. This unique whiskey benefits from an exceptionally long finish of toasted oak and oriental spices, with the dark chocolate lingering even longer.

A PARTNERSHIP WITH DEEP IRISH ROOTS

We are thrilled to announce the collaboration between the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Dublin Liberties Distillery, home to the Dubliner Irish whiskey. A partnership forged from a shared connection of deep Irish roots, a thirst for glory and a commitment to excellence. The Whistler 5 Year Old Bodega Cask Single Malt is a triple distilled whiskey that has been wholly matured in the finest Spanish Sherry Butts for its whole life. These butts were sourced from our partners in the famed Bodegas of Jerez de la Frontera.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: Stewed dark fruits, leather, chocolate and tobacco on the fore with citrus peel and caramel undertones.

PALATE: Oily mouthfeel with leather, spices, dried figs and sultanas, coupled with bitter chocolate and dry citrus peel.

FINISH: A long, lingering, dry mouthfeel with dried fruits and maltiness remaining.

RED BUSH is aged in first-fill bourbon barrels for an intense bourbon finish, combined with the signature smoothness of triple-distilled Irish whiskey. RED BUSH is a well-rounded whiskey that is as versatile as it is complex.
