The Downton Abbey Whisky has a truly remarkable British character. This whisky has been masterfully created using the renowned Harrogate Spring Water from the quintessential North Yorkshire, UK spa town.

Exquisitely made, using only the finest malts and grains, it is a wonderful blended spirit of true distinction.

Twisted Tattoo is the new 16 year old limited edition from Highland Park. Rich and full-bodied, this whisky has been crafted using an innovative combination of Spanish Rioja seasoned casks and first-fill bourbon casks a first for the distillery. The packaging for this edition was designed by Danish tattoo artist Colin Dale who is renowned for his creations using the classic stick and poke tattoo technique. This non-electric method is done freestyle with needle and ink, building each intricate design dot by dot.

We have a tradition of defying convention and that’s how we came to create this distinct and bold single malt whisky and its equally distinct and bold packaging.

The name and design was inspired by the Norse legend of the Midgard serpent, which grew so large it could twist right around the earth to bite its own tail; and we developed the packaging in partnership with Danish tattoo artist, Colin Dale, who uses both ancient and modern tattooing techniques to tell stories on the skin.

Using first-fill Rioja casks in combination with refill casks was a first for Highland Park and the result is a rich and contemporary single malt whisky with very distinctive character. You’ll find generous layers of sweet vanilla, sun-ripened peaches, summer berries and full-bodied red wine, combined on gust of heather-rich peat smoke.

We’ve been crafting our award-winning whisky at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience and respect for tradition may define our whisky, but it’s Orkney that sets it apart. House Greyjoy rules the Iron Islands and worships the Drowned God. Talisker was a natural pair for House Greyjoy as this single malt is distilled on the shores of the Isle of Skye, one of the most remote and rugged areas of Scotland. The layered flavors and signature maritime character of Talisker Select Reserve are the result of its wave-battered shores. This liquid is an intense smoky single malt Scotch with spicy, powerful and sweet elements combined with maritime flavors. Dry Sichuan peppery smoke and dark chocolate on the nose. Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch is based on the spirit supplied to the 1907 British Antarctic Expedition, expertly crafted using a selection of the finest Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.

A blended malt that celebrates whiskies inspired by pioneering women and the progress they've achieved. This limited release, original blend crafted by Master Blender Emma Walker honors Elizabeth Cumming, the matriarch of Cardhu Distillery, who owned, operated and brought the distillery to flourishing success. A welcome new addition to the Ultimate range. Ardbeg An Oa is singularly rounded, due in no small part to time spent in our newly established bespoke oak Gathering Vat where whiskies from several cask types - including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others - familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Hallmark Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Rounded and smoky - like burning Applewood - with creamy toffee, aniseed, treacle and dates. A curious suggestion of juicy fruits, such as peach and banana. With a drop of water, reminders of Ardbeg’s classic fragrance – lime, pine resin, fennel, saddle soap and tar. A gentle waxiness, like fragrant candle wax, and hints of smoked herbs. An Oa gives a final subtle reminder of the sea with briny notes and seaweed but always accompanied with creaminess.

Taste: A smooth, creamy texture leads into a huge syrupy sweetness, flavours of milk chocolate, treacle toffee, aniseed, orange and smoky tea leaves. Gentle, sweet spices (nutmeg & cinnamon), some cigar smoke, and a very unusual flavour of grilled artichokes. Wood is always present in the spirit, gently nutty and reminiscent of a carpenter’s workshop. A long, sweet finish, with floral overtones, mint toffee and some gentle malty biscuit notes.

Finish: Lingering, seductive, gentle yet intense, with flavours of aniseed, hickory and distant subtle smoke.

To create whisky with a tropical feel, our makers finished a portion of our smooth whiskyin barrels that previously held Caribbean rum. The result is a well-balanced and exceptionally smooth whisky. Single malt, meet summer.

The Glen Grant was founded over 180 years ago in Speyside, Scotland by former whisky-smuggling brothers John and James Grant. The unique and seductively refined taste for which The Glen Grant is renowned is the result of the innovative, tall copper pot stills and special purifiers James 'The Major' Grant, son of founding brother James Grant, introduced well over a century ago and that are still used to this day.

Best enjoyed neat or over a large ice cube.
