Willett Family Estate 19 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #1582 111.8 Proof

Kentucky Bourbon Distillers are the owners of the Willett distillery in Bardstown. Willett distillery was built in 1936, just a few years after the repeal of National Prohibition by Lambert Willett, a former distiller for Max Selliger & Co. The distillery was initially a success, principally through its Old Bardstown and Johnny Drum brands, however it was hit hard by the bourbon slump of the 1970s. The result was an ill-advised move into producing ethanol for the production of "gasohol," spurred by the 1979 energy crises. When that market re-stabilised, Willett was left floundering and eventually closed in the early 1980s. Lambert's granddaughter, Martha Willett and her husband, Even Kulsveen, then purchased the distillery and established Kentucky Bourbon Distillers in 1984. They originally bottled the remaining barrels of 1970s-distilled stock, however as that gradually diminished, they began sourcing barrels from other producers in order to replenish it, becoming one of the most important independent bottlers in Kentucky. The majority of their barrels were believed to have come from neighbouring Heaven Hill, and with these casks they developed a wealth of important brands, including the Willett Family Estate, Noah's Mill and Rowan's Creek. In addition, they contract-bottled brands for other companies, such as the Very Olde St Nick and Black Maple Hill brands. Revered for the quality of their whiskey, their products have become some of the most collectible to come out of Kentucky.

The Breckenridge Distillery is the “World’s Highest Distillery”. Founded in 2008, the Breckenridge Distillery is most widely known for its blended bourbon whiskey, a high-rye mash American-style whiskey. Breckenridge Bourbon is one of the most highly awarded crafted bourbons; 4x winner of Best American Blended (2016, 17, 18, and 2019) from the World Whiskies Awards and Bourbon of the Year in 2011 at the Int’l Wine & Spirits Competition, and 2019 Colorado Distillery of the Year at the New York Int’l Spirits Competition. In 2018, Breckenridge Distillery won the coveted Icons of Whisky for Brand Innovator of the Year.

Since coming online in 2008 and releasing its first vodka and bourbon three years later, Breckenridge Distillery has quickly become an award-winning producer of fine spirits, being designated one of the top three bourbons in the U.S. How it all came to be, however, stems from a mix of just the right ingredients, a hint of luck and a deep love for quality whiskey.

Our award-winning Breckenridge Bourbon marinated in Madeira casks; rich in flavor, without an overpowering sweetness. Johnnie Walker High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky features a unique mash bill of 60% rye aged in American oak barrels, and includes notable single malts from distilleries such as Cardhu, an important part of the Johnnie Walker Black Label flavor. The result is a balance of sweet vanilla notes and the spiciness of rye that become revealed through subtle wisps of warm smoke.

Yoichi Single Malt is a range of single malt expressions from the Yoichi Distillery, Nikka's first distillery built in 1934. The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose the town of Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned whisky-making. Yoichi malts are described as bold and strong with refined peaty notes and smokiness brought by the traditional direct coal-fired distillation. Sea breeze from the Ishikari Bay delivers a briny hint to the whisky during maturation.

One of two limited edition single malts released by Nikka to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Miyagikyo Distillery. This one comes from the Yoichi Distillery, which produces a style of whisky that pair very well with the whisky from Miyagikyo. Made with a selection of whiskies from five different decades, this expression comes presented in a snazzy black bottle.

Slipknot No. 9 Iowa Whiskey is a 90 proof whiskey made with Iowa corn from Cedar Ridge Distillery's family farm. The whiskey is a blend of 3-4 year old straight rye and straight bourbon. It has a mashbill of 56% corn, 36% rye, and 9% malted barley. The whiskey has a bold flavor with both sweetness and spiciness. It can be served neat or on the rocks.
Slipknot No. 9 Iowa Whiskey was named for the number of Slipknot band members. The band collaborated with Cedar Ridge Distillery to create the whiskey. The whiskey was available in conjunction with the band's Knotfest Roadshow North American tour.

Introducing Nankai Gold, a premium blended Shochu meticulously crafted on Amami Island, Japan. This exceptional spirit is the result of a harmonious blend of matured and cask-aged kokuto, also known as "black sugar," Shochu from our renowned distillery. This 43% ABV blend combines artisan black sugar Shochus, distilled from a blend of black sugar (80%) and rice (20%), carefully produced only on Amami Island. The production process involves handcrafting each Shochu from just four natural ingredients: sugarcane, rice, koji yeast, and water. A portion of the blend undergoes vacuum distillation to achieve a smooth and delicious finish, thanks to the unique qualities of the vacuum stills.

Our skilled artisans then age the select Shochus for up to 5 years in American white oak and French Limousin casks before blending them into Nankai Gold. The result is an extraordinary and complex drinking experience that demands attention and appreciation. Barrell Bourbon Batch 031 is a blend of 6, 7, 10, 15 and 16-year-old barrels. The blend was built around the sweetness in a group of 99% corn bourbon barrels and a group of wheated bourbon barrels. To bridge these two groupings, we layered in 15 and 16-year-old barrels for their gentle nuttiness and oak. Finally, a selection of 10-year-old barrels was added to bring notes of milk chocolate and tropical fruit.

Dewar’s Japanese Smooth is an 8-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky finished in Japanese (Mizunara) Oak Casks and is the fourth in an innovative cask series line-up. This rich and full-bodied whisky brings a unique finishing process to the double-aged Dewar’s blend, creating an approachable and smooth whisky with an extraordinary difference.

With this highball temperature is key, the colder the drink, the longer we retain the carbonation. Bubbles carry flavour from the bottom to the top so ice is essential!

Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is a single malt scotch whisky with floral heather honey, creamy intensity, dried fruits & toasted coconut.

Rye rediscovered, this one is a little bit dry and a little bit spicy, a little bit of Indiana, and a whole lot of maritime Alaska!

For your discovering pleasure, we submit Wrack Line Rye. With a mash bill of 70 percent rye grain, Wrack Line Rye has enough rye character and spice to announce its presence, yet is balanced enough to play well with others in a cocktail. It starts with our small batch
grain- to-barrel distillations on site. After maturing on site for at least 2 years, we combine our rye barrels with a Straight Rye Whiskey made in the heart of U.S. Whiskey-country,

Volume One of the Rye Project is in collaboration with Willett Family Estate.  The Volume One blend consists of a very low-rye (51%) whiskey aged for 6 years in new American oak, blended with a more aggressive 6 and 7 year Rye (74%) whiskey distilled by the Willett Distillery.  By design, this Rye blend reads sweeter than most Rye whiskies, while still being layered, spiced, and elegant on the back palate.  The custom cork top was inspired by the knob of a baseball bat that is a family heirloom of Jon Buscemi.  The textured label was created in partnership with a bespoke wine label producer in Sonoma County.  More info available in Special Projects.

In order for a spirit to be called Scotch Whisky it must be a product of Scotland. Although Santa Fe Spirits’ Colkegan Single Malt Whiskey is proud to pay homage to its heritage, this whiskey is much more than just another peat-smoked whiskey from across the pond and wouldn’t want to be called Scotch even if it could be.

Like its Scottish single malt cousins, Santa Fe Spirits’ Colkegan Single Malt Whiskey is made entirely from malted barley, carefully distilled, aged and finished in various oak casks to enhance the complex flavors inherent to true single malt whiskey. But there are key differences that set this remarkable spirit apart from its Scottish relatives.

George Dickel has teamed up with the Leopold Bros to produce an innovative rye whisky offering.The release blends George Dickel’s column still rye produced at Cascade Hallow Distillery with Leopold Bros’ Three Chamber Rye to recreate a historic style. This union between column distilled rye and Three Chamber distilled rye turns back the hands of time, returning to an era that saw heavy-bodied rye whisky served at bars and saloons throughout America. The Cascade Hollow component of this blend is a never-before released traditional column still rye.

Originally established in Paris, Kentucky in 1856, Chicken Cock was forced to move production up to Canada during Prohibition. The Canadian Rye whiskey produced during that period was then smuggled back into the U.S. in tin cans, earning the brand the nickname, “The whiskey in a tin can.”

This replica Pre-prohibition era collectible tin cannister honors our history and a limited-time-only return to a period where Chicken Cock ventured north in order to carry on its tradition of bringing high quality whiskey to patrons across the country.

Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Aged 20 years in a used bourbon barrel, this fabulous whiskey glistens with a soft, Yellowish-Brown Hue

Aroma: Sweet Candy combined with slight Grassy Rye, somewhat Earthy notes, hints of Citrus / Orange Peel, Spice and White Pepper

Flavor: A wonderful complexity of Vanilla, Spice and Sweet Molasses, nicely complimented with mild overtones of Pepper, Citrus and ToastedOak.

Finish: A very nice long Finish with a wonderful balance of Pepper, Spice and Sweetness, that lingers with an amazing Buttery mouthfeel.
