Armagnac de Montal VS

Armagnac de Montal

750 ml | 40% ABV
Liqueur | Amaro

Indulge in the delightful layers of aromas and flavors found in the youthful Armagnac de Montal VS, which exudes hints of fresh fruits and flowers. Whether enjoyed in a balloon glass with a gentle swirl, over ice for a refreshing twist, or as a versatile ingredient in cocktails, this exceptional spirit offers a multitude of possibilities. It can also elevate your culinary creations by adding a vibrant touch to sauces, lending a flame-kissed essence to poultry, or deglazing pans for added depth. Furthermore, its application extends to desserts and fruit maceration.

When it comes to pairing, Armagnac de Montal VS is particularly well-suited to complement richly prepared dishes such as game or foie gras. Alternatively, savor it alongside a selection of cheeses or indulge in the perfect finale to a meal with a luxurious chocolate pairing.

The Bas-Armagnac region, home to the finest vineyards for Armagnac production, is characterized by its rolling hills interspersed with dense woods. The mild and humid climate, coupled with a sun-kissed autumn, plays a pivotal role in shaping the nuanced flavors and aromas found in Armagnac de Montal. The grape varieties utilized in its creation include Folle Blanche, Ugni-Blanc, Bacco, and Colombard.

In order to capture the maximum essence of the grapes, the wine is distilled immediately after harvesting. Armagnac de Montal adheres to traditional methods, utilizing either a copper still or a large organ, which enables the vapors to rise, carrying with them the essence of the spirit. The aging process takes place in white oak barrels, undergoing an unusually extended period of maturation, resulting in the distinctive golden hue and enticing aromas of vanilla, lilac, and notably, plum.

The Brand Story

Passionate, curious, refined taste for beauty, Alexandre Gabriel is a tireless entrepreneur in search of perfection. An artisan businessman, he delivers the best product by implementing the most advanced and precise production methods. He knows that a great cognac, a superior rum, is above all a powerful emotion to be shared. Alexandre Gabriel applies the discipline and passion of ancient craftsmen, artisans, and goldsmiths to his rum and cognac.

In 1989 Alexander Gabriel discovers Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest spirit brands in the Cognac region. The reputation of the House is indisputable but sales are lagging. An immediate crush grabs hold and Alexandre Gabriel dives in with exuberance to the details and craft of Cognac production.

Travel follows passion and soon Alexandre Gabriel is creating a dedicated distribution network of equally passionate partners. He builds on his values and vision for the House. Twenty years later, most of his founding team are still together.

The 1990s see Alexandre Gabriel combing the Caribbean in search of the best rums of the region. Plantation is born: an artisanal range of rums from the great terroirs of the tropics. Fifteen years of dedicated rum-making later, in 2012, Alexandre is awarded Master Rum Blender of the Year at the Golden Rum Barrel Awards and was named Distiller of the Year by The American Distilling Institute.

Today, President and Owner of Maison Ferrand, Alexandre Gabriel has won praise across the category and industry. Focusing on three major spirits that represent the passion and vision of Maison Ferrand: Ferrand Cognac, Citadelle Gin, and Plantation Rum : authentic spirits that express the individual terroirs that made them.

THE SINGLE CASK COLLECTION
Plantation Single Cask rums are limited releases of double-aged Haute Couture rums. All Plantation rums mature in a two-stage ageing process, beginning in the tropics where they age in bourbon casks, and then at the Château de Bonbonnet in France to mature in Ferrand barrels. Plantation Single Cask rums then benefit from further maturation in carefully selected beer, wine or spirit casks, each selected to enhance the rum's unique characteristics. Every Single Cask rum takes its own ageing path to greatness, and each bottle is personalized and numbered. Only a few barrels of these unique reserve rums are bottled annually, making them a prize for collectors.

THE TERROIRS OF RUM
Plantation Cellar Master Alexandre Gabriel identifies each rum-producing country by the specific traditions and production techniques of its terroir – the unique environmental characteristics that give each rum its distinctive character. He chooses the best casks from each distillery, celebrating the qualities that make each terroir special.

Smooth Ambler Old Scout Single Barrel Select 13 Year Bourbon Whiskey

Smooth Ambler

750 ml | 47% ABV
Whiskey | Single Malt

Any distillery in the United States should be a feather in the cap of the local community,"explains master distiller John Little". We buy almost all of our grains locally. Our waste goes to a local farmer. We are a tourist attraction for the area and we pay a ton of taxes. This business is what small business in America is all about. Embedded in the rolling Appalachian hills of Greenbrier County, West Virginia, Smooth Ambler Spirits is a testament to the craftsmanship and hard-work of Little and his co-founder, TAG Galyean. At their 5,200 square-foot distillery, Little and Galyean combine traditional distillation techniques with state-of-the-art equipment to produce remarkable spirits that are bold, complex and perfectly balanced. Very Old Scout is steeped in the tradition of the Highland Valley. Little sourced some of the last mature stocks of bourbon from Lawrenceburg Distillers Indiana and has been secretly blending them in a special cuve. The result Very Old Scout 11-Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a marriage of an eleven year, twelve year and thirteen-year-old bourbon. After blending the different bourbons together, Little brings them to proof using pure mountain water from West Virginia before bottling the bourbon without chill or carbon filtration. This select, 13YO Old Scout Single Barrel is a single barrel release distilled from 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malt. A low-rye bourbon mash bill from TN. Using a continuous column distillation process. Each bottling of Old Scout Single Barrel Select is unique in age and proof, with a 13-year minimum. It's 95.2 proof (47.6% ABV) but may vary.

A tale of passion

Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Cotswolds countryside, the Cotswolds Distillery was born from a dream to produce delicious spirits in one of the most beautiful regions in the world.

From hedgefunds to HEDGEROWS
It all started back in 2014, when our founder Dan, a native New Yorker and whisky connoisseur, had moved to the Cotswolds after working in finance in London for many years. Seeking to leave behind that world and spend more time in the picturesque countryside of the Cotswolds with his family, it eventually dawned on him that he could combine his love of whisky with his desire to start a new business. A dedicated whisky fan, Dan saw the fields of golden barley around his house in the Cotswolds and had a brainwave ‘I suddenly thought, there’s barley all over the Cotswolds and nobody’s distilling it, let’s be the first!’ Having found a derelict site near his house, he set about building a distillery and a team to run it, and the doors of the Cotswolds Distillery opened in July 2014.

Launching our WHISKY
After three years of eager anticipation, in October 2017 we released our Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky, the first whisky ever to be distilled in the Cotswolds and the one which remains at the heart of our DNA. In the years since its launch, we have expanded our range of single malt whiskies to include our Cask Collection comprising four unique cask expressions, a yearly limited edition Hearts & Crafts series drawing inspiration from the Arts & Crafts movement, and hand-picked single cask releases.

Belonging to our Cask Expressions Collection, our Bourbon Cask Single Malt Whisky is created from select first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels in which our rich and fruity single malt spirit has been patiently matured. These premium American oak barrels are ideal for aging whisky and impart delicious notes of vanilla

CAREFULLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey

Jeffersons

750 ml | 56% ABV
Whiskey | Bourbon

The principal author of the Declaration of Independence and one of the greatest Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson was elected the third President of the United States in 1800. During his tenure, Jefferson authorized the purchase of the Louisiana Territory, dispatched Lewis and Clark westward in order to explore the remainder of the continent and repealed the Whisky Excise Tax. After Jefferson retired from public office in 1815, he often tended to the garden that he had cultivated on his Monticello estate. At the time, it was customary for wealthy farmers, including Jefferson, to distill the excess grains they harvested from their farms into spirits (George Washington was one of the country's largest distillers of rye whiskey). As a result, each farmer's spirits were unique and reflected the local terroir of their farm. Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey pays homage to Jefferson and the exquisite whiskey he distilled. Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea Cask Strength Bourbon is first matured in older bourbon casks for approximately six to eight years on land, before the casks are placed on a ship and allowed to rest for another several months at sea. At sea, the bourbon and oak casks are forced to mingle with each other as the ship which stops in five different continents and crosses the equator four times during the journey rolls back and forth over the water. In addition, the temperature and barometric pressure fluctuations during the sea voyage cause the oak staves to expand and contract, and allow the bourbon to extract more of the tannins and flavor from the oak during its maturation. Bottled at cask strength for the first time, Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea Cask Strength Bourbon has an aroma of cinnamon buns, orange zest, burnt sugar and marshmallow. Thick notes of salted caramel, figs and chocolate fudge dominate the palate, and lead to a playful finish accented by sweet mint, lemon cake and nutmeg. We have only a handful of bottles available.

Highland Park Soren Solkaer 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Highland Park

750 ml | 40% ABV
Whiskey | Scotch

Situated in the Orkney archipelago in Northern Scotland, Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson. The name of the distillery is derived not from the region of Scotland known as The Highlands the Orkney islands are not a part of The Highlands but rather from the region known as High Park, where the distillery was founded. Today, over two centuries after its founding, Highland Park Distillery remains one of the few Scottish distilleries that continues to hand-turn, malt, and peat its own barley. "You have to be careful here on the malting floor," says Eric Tait, Highland Park's Maltman. "You find it can get a wee bit slippery underneath. I have to turn the malt every eight hours to prevent the roots from getting tangled and to get it all aerated properly. The airing also helps it to grow. The malt will be on the floor for seven days, and I'm running five floors at the moment." After malting the barley, Highland Park Distillery smokes it using peat sourced from Hobbister Moor, a peat bog located approximately seven miles from the distillery. Hobbister Moor peat is sourced from floral heather bushes, which burn hotter and cleaner than the grassy peats of Islay. Also, the peat sourced from Hobbister Moor has greater derivatives of carbohydrates and a lower concentration of lignin than peat from Islay, giving Highland Park's peat a unique chemical fingerprint. The peat sourced from Hobbister Moor is "absolutely fundamental in understanding the flavor of Highland Park Whisky," says Russell Anderson, the distillery manager. Together with Orkney's unique environment (the temperate, moist climate of the archipelago results in an even maturation process), the peat gives Highland Park Whisky its traditional malty flavors that are tempered by just a subtle touch of smoke. Highland Park is proud to introduce Highland Park Sren 26 Year, an exclusive release of 1,206 bottles in partnership with renowned photographer, Sren Solkr. Rich and smoky, the whisky has been crafted from a combination of exceptional casks hand-selected by Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion. This special edition is housed in a bespoke leather box paired with an exclusive leather-bound book showcasing photographic work from the 26 years of Sren's career. matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned American oak casks and first fill Bourbon casks this whisky has a rich and spicy flavor with light heathery peat smoke and a long, lingering finish.

G4 Tequila Extra Anejo

G4 Tequila

750 ml | 40% ABV
Tequila | Extra Anejo

The story of G4 Tequila started in 1937 when the Camarena family first started making tequila. The Jalisco Highlands in Mexico are the tequila capital of the world and the name Camarena counts among the most illustrious in the spirit's rich history. After working with his brother Carlos for years, the fourth-generation tequilero (G4) Felipe Camarena decided to open his own distillery in 2011 and the Destilera El Pandillo was born. Named after his grandfather's favorite bull, the distillery proudly displays the old tahona stone from the family distillery that burnt down during the Mexican Revolution before it even became operational. G4 takes pride in taking things slow and respecting the land and tradition. They grow their own agaves without using any chemicals, and they are never harvested before fully ripening. They are cooked in traditional stone ovens for 22 hours, after which the remains are converted into fertilizer. Copper-pot stills are used for the first and second fermentation and many details in the production process ensure power efficiency. They have also strived to use solar and wind power, as well as harvesting rainwater. While the Extra Aejo might look comparatively light, it is due to a complete lack of any coloring additives it has spent a minimum of 3 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. All the maturation takes place in-house, often giving the spirits twice the amount of aging necessary for a particular category. This gives the end product an exceptional smoothness and complexity. It's extra-smooth, agave-forward, with a pleasantly soft oakiness and vanilla note. As all their tequila, the Extra Aejo is made from 50% spring water and 50% harvested rainwater and bottled at 80 proof.
