Before the hangars of Alameda Island were home to Hangar 1, they housed some of the Navy's top flying machines, like the Vought F4U Corsair, aka The Bentwing Bird. Today, we're still allying old European heritage and New American know-how, bringing together traditional techniques, California-native fruit and our own home-grown Spirit of Innovation in a blend of French and California Brandies.

Bentwing is a French Brandy made in the Chenin Blanc style, blended with a subtle floral Brandy distilled from a mix of California wine varietals. The final result is a brandy with notes of currant, dark brown sugar, honey and toasted oak. Recommended to drink neat, or in a classic Sidecar or Metropolitan.

Gozio's secret recipe involves selecting almonds from four continents, combining them into an infusion, and letting it rests for at least 60 days. GEORGE T. STAGG KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

George T. Stagg built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, during a time known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon. Uncut and unfiltered, this robust bourbon whiskey ages for nearly a decade and boasts the bold character that is reminiscent of the man himself.

TASTING NOTES

Lush toffee sweetness and dark chocolate with hints of vanilla, fudge, nougat and molasses. Underlying notes of dates, tobacco, dark berries, spearmint and a hint of coffee round out the palate.

Federal regulations in the United States require that bourbon be made from a mash bill of at least 51% corn before being aged in new oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof or higher. Bourbon that meets these requirements and that has been aged for a minimum of at least two years may be called straight bourbon. Duke Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a straight bourbon whiskey that is made by marrying together casks of bourbon that have aged for between five and ten years. The bourbon is crafted in homage to John Wayne, whose nickname was "Duke." Created by Ethan Wayne (Duke's son), the bourbon's flavor profile was made to reflect Wayne's personal whiskey preferences, which were preserved for over five decades and were only recently discovered. The bourbon has a distinctively fruity aroma, with notes of nutmeg, maple syrup, caramel, toffee, roasted corn and mellow char on the palate. The finish is bold and spicy, with a hint of cloves, rye and ginger. "My father thrived on new projects and adventures and he always loved a great glass of whiskey at the end of the day," says Ethan Wayne. "Our goal with the Duke was to make a Bourbon that embodies the spirit, strength and richness my father personified while realizing his unfulfilled dream of distilling fine spirits." 

Once a year, Long Island Spirits hand selects 5 our finest aged Bourbon Barrels and bottles fewer than a couple of hundred cases per batch. This high-rye straight bourbon whisky is aged between 4 and 7 years prior to receiving additional maturation in French Oak casks from local wineries that have been rinsed with high proof brandy. When the perfect flavor and balance are achieved, Happy Warrior is bottled straight from cask at 114 proof. Extremely limited releases are selected from the finest casks in the barrel warehouse.

Long Island Spirits, makers of Rough Rider, was established in 2007 as the first distillery on Long Island since the 1800's and became the 100th Distillery in the United States of America; today there are over 1,600 distilleries throughout the USA. Although Bourbon may be produced anywhere in the United States, it is most commonly associated with Bourbon County, Kentucky, where it has been produced since the late 18th century. Made from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the Bourbon Whiskey distillate must be aged in new, charred white oak barrels. Bourbon Whiskeys are bottled at eighty proof (40% abv) or higher and cannot contain any added color or flavor. A versatile spirit that can be sipped neat, with water or on the rocks, it also performs nicely added to cocktails like the Old Fashioned.

Chairman's Reserve Master's Selection 19 Year is limited edition single barrel release. This is the second in the Master's Selection series from the Saint Lucian brand. The rum was distilled in 2000 in the John Dore No. 1 pot still and matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 53.1% ABV with no added sugar.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 032 began with a balance of two sets of barrels: a selection of 5 and 6-year-old barrels with a creamy and tropical profile and a selection of 6, 7 and 10-year-old barrels vatted for their complex, old, woody character. These two sets of barrels were slowly blended over three months. A small group of spice driven 7-year-old barrels with notes of cinnamon toast, coffee bean and chocolate were then carefully added to complete the blend.
