COLOR: Red copper to mahogany

NOSE: Intense and brooding ripe cherry and dark berry fruit notes, with Cherries Jubilee, black currant liqueur, hot fudge sauce smothered over Devil’s Food cake, oatmeal cookie dough with raisins, cranberry morning buns, candied ginger, and warm coffee cake with brown baking spices.

PALATE: Balanced yet bold, with brandied Morello cherries muddled with fresh mint leaves, date spice cake, Dr. Pepper float, Black Forrest Cake with shaved almonds and heavy whipping cream, Bing cherries with vanilla ice cream, dark Pumpernickel bread with butter, and mincemeat pie.

MOUTHFEEL: medium viscosity with lots of caramelized wood sugars together with gentle rye spiciness

FINISH: Semi-sweet to semi-dry, with lingering notes of chocolate covered cherries, a hint of smoky chipotle peppers, and sultanas

Casamigos Cristalino Reposado is made from 100% Blue Weber agave from the rich red clay soil of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Our reposado is twice distilled and aged to perfection in American white oak barrels, then carefully charcoal filtered to restore the crisp, bright agave flavor found in our Blanco Tequila while maintaining some of the cask notes. The filtration process removes the golden honey color of the Reposado, resulting in a crystal-clear spirit.

A light golden colour and fine, vivacious bubbles, holding a promise of pleasure. Aromas of flowers in bloom, ripe, dried and citrus fruits, as well as marzipan and gingerbread. Flavours of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, jellied and citrus fruits, almonds, brioche and honey.

Tasting notes
Aromas of mocha and black plum lead to flavors of bing cherry, anise and toasted oak. This is a full-bodied wine with chalky tannins, finishing with jam and blackberry reduction sauce.

One wine of absolute quality
Opus One is the realized dream of two men: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux and Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi. Together, our founders set out to create a single wine dedicated to the pursuit of uncompromising quality. This singular mission shapes every vintage, today and for generations to come.

The vineyards enjoyed idyllic growing conditions with consistent weather and milder temperatures in 2018. The beginning of the year was notably dry; however, well-timed rainfall just before budbreak provided the necessary water for canopy development. Flawless conditions ensued during flowering and fruit set which led to higher-than-average yields. While the season got off to a later start, veraison occurred only seven days later than the average which gave the fruit the necessary time to ripen perfectly. Harvest began on September 19th with a steady pace that continued until the last fruit arrived on October 25th.

The Opus One 2018 offers profuse aromas of blackberry, cassis and black cherry. Elegant notes of violets, white pepper and rose petals follow and together they deliver a very seductive bouquet. The seamlessly layered flavors build to a crescendo of fresh and juicy black-fruit, accented with hints of orange zest, licorice and dark chocolate. Beautifully balanced, the smooth round tannins and fresh acidity combine to create a soft, creamy mouthfeel and extend the flavors into a long persistent finish.

Barrel Aging: 17 months in new French oak

The Bushmills Private Reserve Collection is a new series of small batch single malts hand selected with unique cask finishes, born from the original Irish single malt tradition that Bushmills pioneered. This 10 Year Old single malt Irish whiskey is first matured in carefully selected bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks for 6 years before finishing for a minimum of 4 years in first fill Pomerol Bordeaux casks.

TASTING NOTES

While the bourbon casks impart rich hints of vanilla and oak, the sherry casks infuse the whiskey with notes of dried fruits and spice, and the Bordeaux casks add subtle notes of currants, resulting in a whiskey of intense character.

A silk like blend of herbal and citrus notes that assemble the freshness of anise, green mint and subtle sweet tones of naturally caramelized agave. Enjoy neat, on the rocks or in elevated cocktail recipes.

Launched in 2023, Daniel Weller is an experimental line exploring the impact of different strains of wheat on its storied bourbons, inspired by and named after the trailblazer of the Weller family. This exciting extension of the original wheated bourbon brand demonstrates Buffalo Trace Distillery’s excellence in innovation while honoring a forefather of American whiskey, Daniel Weller – grandfather to William Larue Weller – and the family distilling traditions he passed down to the generations of whiskey pioneers that followed him. The inaugural release is made with Emmer wheat, an ancient Egyptian grain that’s rarely seen in modern-day stills. Aged for nearly 12 years and bottled at 94 proof, the nose is fresh and nutty, with notes of orange zest, hazelnut, cinnamon and caramel; the palate a well-rounded blend of bold oak, sweet honey and orchard fruits with a complex oak-forward finish complemented by baking spice and leather notes.

ABOUT DANIEL WELLER
While William Larue (W.L.) Weller’s place in whiskey history is widely known as one of the first to sell a “wheated” bourbon in Kentucky, his grandfather’s story has yet to be shared. After fighting in The Revolutionary War, Daniel Weller embarked on a flatboat voyage down the Ohio River with his wife and children, ultimately settling in Kentucky in 1794. Following in his father Johannes Weller’s footsteps, who distilled rye whiskey used as currency in early American barter economy, he soon began producing whiskey and leased his still to proprietors like Jacob Hirsch to supplement his income. When Daniel passed away in 1807, he left no will, requiring his son Samuel to purchase his stills and equipment to continue the family legacy, which he would ultimately pass down to his son William Larue, founder of W.L. Weller & Sons. The Daniel Weller experimental line is inspired by Daniel and his pioneering spirit, with plans to release one limited expression every other year, when each experiment is deemed ready for bottling by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley.
