Blue Peak is an American single malt distilled at high altitude, aged in new American oak barrels, and Solera finished, a maturation process typically used in wine, resulting in a rich and mellow whiskey.

Named for a 13-thousand-foot peak in Aspen, Stranahan’s Blue Peak Single Malt is double-distilled at high altitude and aged for 4 years in new American oak barrels with a #3 char, imbuing a warm, toasted flavor. The Solera finished spirit boasts flavors of creamy butterscotch, brown sugar plus baked apples with notes of cayenne and toasted oak.

NOSE: Dried apricot, nutmeg, cinnamon toast, hints of leather and light tobacco.

PALATE: Creamy butterscotch and brown sugar, baked apples, with notes of cayenne and toasted oak.

FINISH: Rich and mellow, earthy malt gently fades into lingering spices.

About the Brand

The Store begins in 1822 in remote and isolated Livet valley that made it ideal for illicit distillation. This is where our founder George Smith learned his craft. Hidden away from the Customs Officers and soldiers amongst the hills and abundant springs, George had time to distill slowly making a whisky that would soon become world renowned. In August 1822, King George IV arrived in Scotland for a state visit and asked to try a drop of the infamous Glenlivet whisky. An illegal dram it was, but even that didn’t stop the King. 

By the late ‘30’s, The Glenlivet distillery was producing more than 200 gallons a week. This expansion meant our founder would soon need more employees. A few years later, Andrew Ushers & Sons of Edinburgh joined as sales agents, helping spread the word of the whisky.

To this day we continue George Smith's vision to break traditions, set new standards and move things forward; selecting exceptional unique casks, finishes and liquids and delivering unique serves and cocktails to open up the world of single malt to all.

Our Glenlivet 12 Year has been called a lot of things in its time: smooth, fruity, complex, sophisticated, entertaining, classic. The Original Malt Whisky Almanac says: “A first-class malt. One of the most popular malts in the world – deservedly so.” Representing The Glenlivet’s signature style, this classic malt is first matured in traditional oak, before spending time in American oak casks which impart notes of vanilla and gives the whisky it’s distinctive smoothness. The mineral-rich water that comes from Josie’s Well helps form the flavors during mashing and fermentation, whilst the specific height and width of the copper stills add a delicate yet complex character. Nestled in a Denver industrial complex, Leopold Bros. Distillery is the brainchild of Todd Leopold. His journey through malt and brewing studies, brewing in Germany, and distilling in Kentucky led to the establishment of this distillery in 2008, in Littleton, Colorado. Leopold Bros. celebrates the diversity of Pre-Prohibition American rye whiskey, offering both Pennsylvania rye with traditional spice and dryness and Maryland rye, known for its fruity and floral character. Avuá Jequitibá Rosa Aged Cachaça Single-sourced from the hills of Carmo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Hand-crafted and aged up to two years in a jequitibá rosa cask, a high density, a light-colored wood with a hint of pink coloring, found only in central and southern Brazil. Produced in a single barrel, this jequitibá rosa aged cachaça is our third offering in a series of native wood experiments. The large vertical cask of light, rich wood imparts a fruity aroma with a delicate yet slightly bitter flavor. Enjoy it in cocktails, sipped neat, or paired with a cold beer.

Made with aged rum and with a hint of smokiness from charred American oak barrels, BACARDÍ Spiced is a Gluten free rum blended with natural flavors and spices for a bold, yet smooth taste. BACARDÍ Spiced rum’s liquid has both light and deep notes, making it perfect for mixing the best spiced rum drinks.

TASTING NOTES

BACARDÍ Spiced has a caramel-like vanilla flavor with subtle notes of almond and dried, dark fruits rounded out by cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of honey creates a balanced rum with a hint of smokiness.

Age: Making mezcal is an art. Each lot of Ilegal Mezcal Añejo is aged to taste for 13 months, using a combination of new and used American oak, medium char barrels. Our barrels are sourced from Kelvin Cooperage, a family-run business since 1963.

Allen Katz, co-founder of New York Distilling Co., together with Tom Potter, founder of Brooklyn Brewery, Katz opened the doors to the 5,000 square-foot New York Distilling Co. facility in Brooklyn (the distillery straddles the neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Greenpoint one door to the distillery opens up to the Williamsburg zip code and the other to the Greenpoint zip code) in 2011. Since its launch, the distillery has produced a number of highly innovative and original spirits. This Ragtime Rye is the passion project of the New York Distilling Company. A longtime goal came to life as their whiskey came of age, in 53-gallon new, charred American oak barrels. The distillery's lineup includes several innovative releases including this Ragtime rye. This spirit spent 3.5 years in the barrel, handcrafted from a mash of 72% rye, 16% corn and 12% barley. 

Speyside whiskies are known to be fruity and floral, but as the bad boy of Speyside Craigellachie defies with its oil fired, rich character. Craigellachie 13 is matured in a mixture of both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, toffee and fudge notes to the fore, and the sherry casks provide richness and complexity.

We also utilize techniques like crop thinning to produce an elegant, distinctive Merlot. This wine has expansive, dark berry flavors, a fresh earthiness and smooth, leathery tannins.

Nose: Cocktail cherries and sweet spice, with notes of savory bread, newly oiled leather and pronounced French oak.

Palate: Smooth upon entry, with a richness that builds. Flavors of cherry, spice and savory bread carry over from the nose, with lush plums and a hint of jerky. Dusty, powdery tannins lend softness. French oak character comes through on the nose, palate and lingering finish.

Style differentiator: Longer “hang time” pushes grapes to full ripeness. The result is a wonderfully rich, earthy, dark and well-balanced Merlot.

Farming notes: Sourced in Napa Valley. Techniques like crop thinning throughout the growing season allow for smaller yields resulting in a wine that’s more intensely concentrated.
