In addition, the Bottled in Bond gives you assurance the Bourbon was properly distilled, aged between 5-6 years and bottled by us under the supervision of the U.S. Government at 100 proof.

A TRUE CLASSIC LIQUEUR

Classic cocktails demand classic liqueurs and no liqueur is more classical than the Pierre Ferrand Dry Orange Curaçao. Crafted in consultation with cocktail historian David Wondrich and based on a 19th century recipe, it is a traditional French “triple sec” – thee separate distillations of spices and the “sec” or bitter, peels of Curacao oranges blended with brandy and Ferrand Cognac. TASTING NOTES

Nose: Intense tropical fruit aromas of passionfruit, pineapple, lemon and orange peel with a touch on cinnamon and ginger.

Palate: Smooth and oily textured. Even at the full 46% it is soft and easy to drink. Flavours of fresh pineapple, lemon, oranges, marmalade and ginger snap with some honey and oak.

Finish: Becomes more malty and biscuity with the oak flavours also shining through.

iichiko is a true expression of a pristine natural environment. iichiko is crafted in Oita Prefecture on Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost island – a region famous for its clean air, lush greenery, dense cedar forests, mountainous terrain, and geothermal springs.

iichiko is made from 100% two-row barley, fermented with koji. Koji is the traditional secret behind Japanese foods famous for umami, like miso and soy sauce.

Crafted specifically for the modern bartender, iichiko Saiten is a full-flavored expression of shochu that is perfect for cocktails at 43% ABV (alcohol by volume).

On the nose, iichiko Saiten is redolent with aromas of honeydew melon, white grape, pickled watermelon rind and kabosu citrus. There are also hints of soy, white pepper and rich barley notes.

On the palate, iichiko Saiten has a strong start and a long finish. It exudes rich umami notes of jasmine tea, white peach, minerals and earth with some citrus and a saline finish that beckons another sip. Its complex flavors offer exciting options for mixing in cocktails.

This is a bright crisp sauvignon blanc with citrus zip, flavors of lemon, lime, yellow grapefruit, and lime zest combined with a fennel and caper vibrancy. On May 24, 1976, a wine tasting took place in Paris that changed the world’s view of California wines forever. The tasting was the brainchild of Steven Spurrier, an English wine merchant who owned an innovative wine shop and adjacent wine school in the center of Paris. Having been recently introduced to California wines, and curious to see how these newcomers would fare against French wines made from the same kind of grapes, he arranged a blind wine tasting in celebration of the American Bicentennial activities in Paris. The French tasters chosen for the event had impeccable professional credentials. Spurrier chose French wines that were first and other classified-growth red Bordeaux and white Burgundies to be matched against California Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays. The tasting was blind, with the identities of the wines concealed and the labels revealed only after the jury of nine tasters had voted its order of preference.

The unthinkable happened. The 1973 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon was judged the best. The Napa Cabernet had bested four top-ranked Bordeaux, including first-growths Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. The 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay from California bested its French counterparts.

In 1866, Domenico Canale’s spirits business was booming. Rail cars bearing oak-aged whiskeys rolled in and out of the D. Canale & Co. warehouse at Huling Station. Any bottle bearing the Old Dominick brand was known far and wide to be  fine whiskey. More than 150 years later, Huling Station Straight Bourbon is an homage to the whiskeys of 1866 Memphis, bottled at 100 proof and made from a high-rye mash bill reminiscent of the spirits offered by Domenico Canale.

TASTING NOTES

Huling Station Straight Bourbon opens with stone fruit, dark cherries, and creamy vanilla with a wisp of rye spice on the nose. The palate hints at cinnamon and rich caramel, as dry, subtle notes of pipe tobacco and velvety dark chocolate round out the finish.

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut has been the symbol of the House since 1772. A perfect balance between power and finesse, its complexity comes from the predominant presence of Pinot Noir and Reserve Wines.

Distillery Information

Founded in 1772 by Philippe Cliquot from a wealthy banking family, his son Franois married Barbe Nicole Ponsardin. Sadly she was widowed at just 27 so took over the stewardship of the champagne company, something she proved very good at.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruity aroma.

Terroir: The Re Manfredi Aglianico del Vulture is sourced from 128 acres of estate vineyards located on the lower elevations (1200ft) of an extinct volcano. Vines average 30 years and are planted at a dense ration of 3000 vines per acre, and are raised using the guyot and cordon pruning methods.

Vinification: Grapes are manually harvested upon full ripeness beginning in mid-October. Fermentation takes place in neutral vats over a period of 15-20 days with daily pumping over of the must. Upon completion the young wines are racked and aged for 20-24 months in a combination of used French oak barriques and big oak casks. Barrels range from 1-5 years old. 40,000 bottles produced.

Re Manfredi Aglianico del Vulture has been awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso for vintages 1999, 2005, 2010, 2011.
