A delicious taste of smooth and complex with a distinct and traditional taste. A blend of two unique expressions – Blanco and Anejo one aged the other freshly cooked and interwoven to co-exist with flavors of citrus, wood, orange, earth, olives and buttery finish. Clean. Earthy. Smooth.

An entirely new category in tequila. XR is a delicate blend of 11 months aged reposado from ex-bourbon American and ex-red wine French oak barrels for complexity and sweetness.

Maker Notes

The Camarena brothers used to run the Santa Maria ranch from sunset to sunset. The only thing that could stop them was their parents call to come home for dinner. Driven by the unbridled passion that lived in their hearts, one afternoon in the cold winters of 1976, they left the ranch without permission to ride their horses, taking them to the municipal lane of Arandas for a clandestine race of 100 rods, the young brothers looked at each other with the certainty that this day would remain engraved in their memories; with passion and enthusiasm, they set off on their horses in an unprecedented race, competing head to head….A few meters from the end of the race, the unexpected happens, they see that the chain of the finish line is set and they know perfectly well that their end is near… Suddenly, the imposing mare «Paloma» runs to line up next to the horse «Pinto», and with the sum of their strength they manage to break the chain, saving the lives of the Camarena brothers. That moment was the motivation to follow a dream, Tequila Carrera.

TASTING NOTES

Flavor: Anise bitterness in it, light cinnamon, and hint of vanilla.

Taste: The acidity of the soil where the agave is grown gives the taste of the lime zest.

Extras: Our tequila Blanco is very well balanced and enjoyable, is a perfect everyday sipper.

El Profesor stands tall being the only Rose Gold gradient-metalized tequila bottle on the market. Contemporary interpretations of the “Coa” are found on the back of the bottle. This is a blend of nature’s inspiration, featuring stylized pointed agave-like shapes and contemporary, slender forms, making a way for the iconic, sculptural towering look. The vertical form is further accentuated by the innovative metallic gradient - the first of its kind on the market - which reveals the precious liquid and glass on the wide side of the bottle.

TASTING NOTES: Light sweetness that encourages you to try more, strong presence of agave, brown sugar, vanilla, butterscotch.

PALATE: On the palate it simply transports us to a great experience exploiting endless flavors to name a few: the very present wood, light, very fruity sweetness, a touch of vanilla, toasted almonds, very silky and smooth.

FINISH: A very long flavor that penetrates and is impregnated in the palate in an amazing way, of great character paying homage to the great professor.

This robust medium body Premium tequila Blanco brings fresh crispness to the palate delivers aromas of herbs like rosemary, basil, and offers notes of sweetness from fresh fruits finishing with light sweet summer vanilla and roasted agave from Ixtlán Del Rio. This classic tequila brings fresh taste to a rich and deep historic tequila.

TASTING NOTES: Robust medium body. On the palate its freshness, the cooked agave and light raw agave flavor highlighting a number of flavors exploding fruits, herbs lengthening its flavor prevailing after taking a soft sip but with a lot of character.

COLOR: Crystalline silver nuances.

PALATE: On the palate it simply transports us to a great experience exploiting endless flavors to name a few: the very present wood, light, very fruity sweetness, a touch of vanilla, toasted almonds, very silky and smooth.

FINISH: Strong vegetal presence of agave, herbaceous.

The Agave Journey
The journey towards Mi Familia Flores Reserva Suprema Añejo begins in the agave fields, where only the choicest blue agave plants are carefully selected for harvesting. These mature agave plants, known as "piñas," are harvested by skilled jimadores who have an intimate understanding of when the agave is at its peak ripeness.

From the first rays of the rising sun, we begin to clean the fields, hard work done with dedication that is reflected in the handling and care of our agaves. For the first time, they employed a novel approach by fermenting the mosto with bagazo, the cooked and crushed agave fibers, within open-topped wooden vats. The distillation process mirrors that of a prior special batch, Lot 100, and the final product boasts an 80-proof strength.

About the Brand

The cooked Blue Weber Agave is still present at the center of this Extra Añejo, with hints of oak, fruit, caramel, and butterscotch around it. The oxygenation keeps all the flavors very well balanced, preventing any flavor from overtaking the other.

AÑEJO 
An authentic 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila made in the Traditional Method. Produced with fully mature 7-10 year agave from 50% Highlands and 50% Lowlands of Jalisco, slow-roasted in brick ovens, slow-fermented, never diffused, roller press extraction, double distilled, Bourbon Barrel Aged 18 months, and additive free.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Its roasted-pineapple opening aroma; more time in the glass allows a peppery almost viscus, floral perfume to develop. Nice aromas of toasted oak and vanilla bean also emerge.

Palate: palate entry shows roasted peppers, orange blossom, and tropical fruit. Then the mid-palate showcases luscious flavors of chocolate, orange, and sugar cookies.

Finish: Aftertaste is naturally sweet, sugary and long. A ton of chocolate, caramel, and dulce de leche flavors are very notable. This is the choice of the most sophisticated consumers searching for the full-body obtained from the more dominant wooden essence.
