 A Reposado Tequila is the first stage of

"rested and aged"    Aged in oak barrels or storage tanks between 2 and 11 months    The oak gives it a mellowed taste and its pale color    Reposado keeps the blue agave taste and is gentler to the palate

MICO Reposado is aged in American Oak whiskey barrels then finished in Napa Valley Cabernet barrels to create warm vanilla notes that marry with the tequila’s natural agave edge. The result is a Tennessee-inspired finish that doesn’t forget its Jalisco roots.

Our Anejo is aged twice as long as the industry standard to produce a complex & full-bodied flavor of Oaky notes, hints of berry, mint & subtle vanilla. Sure to please all paletes.

This flavorful selection of 4 Copas takes the artfully crafted product and ages the juices an additional 9 months to enrich and enhance the pure agave flavor cues—so pleasing in the Blanco—to new and surprising levels of taste. The Editors of Wine and Spirits Magazine have specifically called out the Reposado vanilla, coconut and gently cooked agave flavor cues. These characteristics led to 4 Copas Reposado winning the esteemed San Francisco World Spirit Competition Gold Medal. The noble and distinct pure taste of 4 Copas award winning Reposado is its own reward, but we are very proud of each of its awards nonetheless.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Bright golden color with silver hues and great body.

Nose/Aroma: Intense aroma has been obtained in American oak barrels like vanilla, caramel, coconut and maple.  The cooked agave is intense and sweet; the herbal aroma like mint, orange, lemon and grapefruit fresh has developed the 4 copas Reposado style –   Balanced and elegant.

Taste/Mouthfeel: In the mouth it is sweet and soft.   Notes of vanilla, coconut and cooked agave. The mouthfeel is intense and the after taste is pleasantly bitter.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of fruit, baked fully-ripened agave, green olive, and earth are invitingly present. Slightly brighter and a touch more rustic than the regular blanco, the accents of butter, olive, earth, black pepper, and vegetal qualities in the flavor are enhanced because it comes straight from our small copper pot still, without adding water prior to bottling.

For years, the only way to sample this was to visit our distillery in Tequila, Jalisco. Until now.

Chamucos play bothersome, frightening and mischievous acts.Chamucos have a playful but secretive nature and they thrive on frightening with clever but mostly harmless pranks. Some have been startled when awakened by the presence of the dark creature sitting at the edge of their bed watching as they slept. When spotted, the Chamuco will alway vanish into the darkest places. Our slogan, “Si amanece nos vamos” means, “If dawn comes, we will leave.”Frequent sighting are reported at distilleries. What is commonly referred to as the “Angel’s Share,” where mysterious losses from barrel aging occurs, is thought to be consumption by “Chamucos,” thus the origin of our brand name.

Chamucos Reposado Tequila

On entry it is very soft, silky mouth feel and well balanced with flavors of cooked blue agave, tropical fruit, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon spice, fennel and black pepper.Agave, fruit, vanilla and toffee, flavors linger. Finishes soft with the right amount of heat.

Elegant and silky, with smooth character that coats the palate with roasted agave and enticing vanilla flavors layered with caramel, toffee, fennel, chocolate and baked or grilled pineapple undertones followed by sun-ripened tropical fruits and spice create a refined, yet unforgettable taste sensation.Beautiful, slightly sweetly with seductive spice, sweet toffee, vanilla essence and tropical spice and butter mint undertones to create a wonderfully unique tequila experience.

Produced with lower alcohol content (80-Proof) than the other Puntagave Rustico denominations is perfect to get your palate ready for the more powerful and idiosyncratic denominations. Mezcal 84, Raicilla 88, Sotol 86 and Bacanora at 90_Proof.

There are two mayor agave growing regions for tequila, the highlands (Los Altos) and the tequila valley at 2,300 meters above sea level. For years producers and consumers have been debating which agave produces the best tequila? One thing is for certain, that the rich red soil from the highlands is very porous and the rain water filters right-through, leaving these agaves extremely stress for survival. Highland agave yields the highest grades of sugar content. There is a popular claim that the highlands rich soil produces a sweeter, more citrus, and fruitier-tasting profile. PUNTAGAVE Tequila is produced with highlands grown agave in the town of Jesus Maria Jalisco.

Central to the flavor profiles created at El Pandillo is the source of water used and in the case of Terralta, it all comes from a deep well, 150 meters down in the earth. What does this mean for flavor? To answer this question, we will first have to talk about the two other water sources at the distillery for contrast.

First, there is the harvested rain water, and secondly, a fresh spring. These two sources are used in a close to 50/50 ratio for 3 of the 4 other brands made at El Pandillo - Pasote, G4, and ArteNOM. The flavors here are clean and crisp, as one would expect from rain water, backed by floral and herbal notes. Volans, the 4th brand produced at 1579 is a blend of spring and well water, and it’s here where the minerality of the earth encasing the deep well begins to come through. But in Terralta, as it’s only source for water, the soil and earth are king.

Where the other profiles are lofty and light, you’ll find Terralta firmly secured in the ground from which the agave grow. The soils of Los Altos are rich in iron, giving them a red coloring, and softness compared to the rockier soils of the Valley of Tequila.

History

Born in the Highlands of Jalisco, and raised in the Valleys of Tequila. Don Fulano is a product of the Fonseca family whose story begins in the Highlands of Jalisco where their great grandfathers began cultivating agave 140 years ago. Today - respected agave farmers – they also run La Tequilena, one of the highest-rated and most awarded tequila distilleries.

Don Fulano Anejo is a marriage of very old tequilas aged in French limousine and Nevers oak casks that previously held wines. It’s deep and complex with dried fruits and spice elements like cardamom and allspice which complement elegantly the right touch of sweetness that comes from slowly cooked mature agave. Honey and caramelized nuts emerge from a long finish together with refreshing light menthol. Great to wrap up a nice dinner.

To ensure authentic taste of Highlands-born tequilas, Espanita Blanco is crafted from 100% mature Blue Agaves by using ancestral production techniques and bottled fresh from the still. As a result, Espanita Blanco is bursting with zesty, peppery aromas of freshly baked agaves and retains intense, clean, herbaceous flavors; a tequila in its purest form.

We recommend enjoying Espanita Blanco neat or on the rocks, served in a whiskey glass over a large chunk of ice. Swirl it gently and you will be surprised by the complexity of its taste and aromas when tequila gradually opens and develops in a glass.

COLOR: Silvery, colorless, of impeccable purity.

AROMA: Candied aromas and flavors of marzipan, chocolate mint, sage, bay leaf and lemongrass.

FLAVOR: Entry is silky smooth, harmonious and creamy in texture. Vibrant, fruity light-to medium body with rich flavors of hazelnut spread, black peppercorn, rosemary and thyme and intense herbaceous zestiness of Agave fibers.

FINISH: The finish is long, herbal with a hint of lingering, delectable agave syrup sweetness at the end. Smooth and mellow.

COCKTAILS: Perfect in Margarita, Bloody Maria, Tequila Caesar, Sangrita, and in a variety of tequila coolers and spritzers.

About the Brand

The Camarena brothers used to run the Santa Maria ranch from sunset to sunset. The only thing that could stop them was their parents call to come home for dinner.

Driven by the unbridled passion that lived in their hearts, one afternoon in the cold winters of 1976, they left the ranch without permission to ride their horses, taking them to the municipal lane of Arandas for a clandestine race of 100 rods, the young brothers looked at each other with the certainty that this day would remain engraved in their memories; with passion and enthusiasm, they set off on their horses in an unprecedented race, competing head to head….

A few meters from the end of the race, the unexpected happens, they see that the chain of the finish line is set and they know perfectly well that their end is near… Suddenly, the imposing mare «Paloma» runs to line up next to the horse «Pinto», and with the sum of their strength they manage to break the chain, saving the lives of the Camarena brothers. That moment was the motivation to follow a dream, Tequila Carrera.
