Palate: Immediate heat on the palate is balanced with sweet dry malt and earthy smoke. Octomore 15.3 brings together heavyweight peating levels and variable harvests from one singular farm on Islay - Octomore farm, located just 2 miles from the distillery.

Nose: Smoked cinder toffee, rich malted Islay barley sugar and honey come to the fore, balanced with fresh citrus. Butterscotch, brown sugar and warm bread pave the way for the cereal-forward single malt whisky.

AROMA: A burst of manuka honey, with lemon-flavoured butter candy, baking raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, toffee and a hint of spice. With a splash of water, there is vanilla crème anglaise, a hint of coconut and a suggestion of almond marzipan.

TASTE: The texture is thick, rich and creamy. It is followed by a huge burst of sweet and spicy flavours – brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet and desiccated coconut. Spices warm the palate, with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

MacNair’s Lum Reek 21-year-old is a marriage of Single Malts from Islay and Speyside – two of the most sought-after whisky regions in Scotland – combining both peated and unpeated spirit to create a perfectly balanced and complex malt. The 18th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection® consists of 14-year-old Malt Whiskey aged in the upper floors of Rickhouses O and Q. Then, barrels that previously held Cognac were reconstructed to include a handful of new heavy toast staves. The Malt Whiskey was then rebarreled in the reconstructed barrels and aged for almost four months. Bottled at 107 proof without chill filtration, the rebarreling transforms the Malt Whiskey's earthy, herbal characteristics into complex notes of molasses, dark chocolate, and dried summer fruit.
